I am a bit surprised that your DGD's, do not share your interest in the same. I am 40 something, and I will wear a tiara, whenever I have a chance, within reason, last year for example, when I was fortunate enough to visit DL in Ca. I purchased a cut red stoned skelly face (cute, not scary) tiara, I could have brought one from home, however I really did not think to do so, jewelery yes! tiara, did not think about it. That is okay though, for it was $10.00, a very good price, in my opinion. 
I went with my DD before the P&P
I have to agree with OP, they are thrilled to have adults. I almost felt guilty as she was having so much fun with me that I took 20 minutes longer than DD
I would love to attend the P&P party, half of me would like to go in the direction of pirate, while the other half of me would like to do princess things, hmmm, I wonder if there is a way to be able to do both? I like to think that the answer is yes!
