Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique @ Disneyland

Can anyone give me more information on what this is? Where is it located at?
It's where girls just get dressed up? $59.95 seems ...uh...steep for nail polish
I have a little boy is there anything for little boys like dressing up like a prince?
My son's girlfriend would love to dress up like a princess and I think would love this when we go to DL together.

Yes, there is a package for boys as well, they get their hair spiked and they get a sword. There is also Disney 365 in DTD next to Sephora, they do rockstar makeovers there, may be better for a boy. :)

BBB is a makeover, it's not just girls getting dressed up, they do your hair and makeup as well. It's a Princess makeover. I felt the makeup was a bit dark but it was still tons of fun!

Reading the reviews on Yelp indicate the upper age limit is now 12.

Upper age limit for what? For dressing up? Because there is NO age limit to go to BBB, I did it with my girls when we went for my 30something birthday. :) heck, I'd do it again and I'm 40 now. :)

I only have experience with BBB in Magic Kingdom - but I imagine all BBBs would be the same as far as services go?!

My DD did the $60 package that includes nail polish. With the $60, she got a Mickey jeweled hair clip, a jeweled tiara, two bottles of nail polish (a light pink and a light blue), the palette of make-up used on her (I think 6 shades of eye shadow, a blush and 3 or 4 lip glosses), a BBB comb and a pink sash!

The experience was worth every penny! I videotaped her when her FGMIT was sprinking glitter on her and swung her around in the chair to face the mirror. It makes me tear up every single time I watch it!

She wants to do it again when we go to DL, and I think this time she wants to do the look with the fake poof of hair (vs. the "classic fairytale princess" makeover she did in WDW) :goodvibes

Are there photopass photographers at BBB in Disneyland? the PP in MK got some *excellent pics*!!!

It looks like it's changed since you were there. Several angry reviewers posted that they were no longer allowed to get makeovers due to being adults. These are recent reviews. It isn't clear whether the reviews are MK or DL, however.

We got the makeup, the sashes, and tiaras, we didn't do the package with the nails so we didn't get polish. We also got the brushes/combs they used on us and we got a cute little bag to carry it around in. :) Yes, there are PP photographers in DL's BBB, we did the package in the back room with the forest animals and the coach.

Really? Interesting, no one has ever mentioned that here before. I'm not sure why they wouldn't do anyone who wanted to pay for it.....hmmmmmm

I called BBB a month ago, and here is the pricing info I got and posted at the time:

The Coach- $49.95 for the hair style, shimmering makeup, a sash, princess bag, and body jewels.

The Crown- $54.95, all of the above, plus nail polish.

The Castle- $189.95, all of the above, plus a dress, and photo package, and probably some things I am missing. Shoes are not included.

And a new package:
The Courtyard- $89.95, all of the things from the Coach and Crown, as well as a shirt, a tutu, and streaks of color in their hair (choice of 4 colors).

You can add a photo package (5 pics, don't know the sizes), for $29.95.

They book appointments 60 days out.

Thanks for your input re: my 10yo dd. I've convinced her to get a cute outfit instead of a costume...more comfy. (We fully intended on going no matter what, but wanted to know if the costumes would fit.)

We are going in May and im not sure whether we should buy a dress from the Disney Store (we are going to Hawaii prior to Disneyland) first? I haven't booked the time in yet but i am thinking of doing it on day 4 (our last day) when we will have lunch at Ariels Grotto. I would prefer to get the middle package and pay for the photos on top.

My daughter loves Rapunzel and is also fond of Ariel so i would hate to get there and we have to spend a zillion dollars on a princess thats not her fav. Do you know if you can book the middle package and possibly get the full castle package on the day? That way we could buy a dress from the Disney Store and bring it with us and then if we see one thats worth the extra $$ at BBB we could change the package??

Also, do you think they would let her little sister (just turning 2) join in the photo session? We will dress her up on the day but she is too young for BBB. I would love to get a cute one of the two of them!

Lastly, Ariels Grotto is booked for 11.40am so what time do you think i should try and book in BBB?

We are doing BBB at the end of may along with AG lunch right after as well. I made the BBB res for 11 as we will be arriving that morning and wanted to make sure we would have enough time to get there from Sacramento without being late (yea we are leaving middle of the night). Then we made the AG res for 2:10. I am sure we won't need that much time but it means we can do some rides and stuff in between and we won't be rushed trying to walk from DL to DCA.

Our plan is to do the middle package and buy a dress, crown, and wand from Disney store before we leave to save some money. DW is plannig to take DD(3) to the store to see which princess she will want to be an then I will go and buy the stuff so we can have it there for DD and she will think her FGMIT had it waiting for her at BBB.

We have an appointment for BBB @ 9:30 (the earliest I could get for the castle package) and we have ADR's at AG for 11:40. I would book something in the 9 o'clock hour, or earlier if they are open. The makeover takes 45 minutes...maybe more.

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe she's technically too old to dress up at age 10. I believe the age cut off is 9 for kids to dress up in the parks.

I'd read the same thing -- 9 or under to wear a costume into the park. Likely to avoid confusion with the official characters as some kids older than 9 (like your DD) can be big enough to look like an official DLR character! I read that pretty recently as I've been scouting for our trips in the next few years to DLR and WDW and that seems to be the policy. You can always call and ask but I don't think there is an age limit at BBB. Have fun!
