We are leaving for Walt Disney World early on Sept. 2! We are so excited! We are staying for 9 days.
Who are we? The princesses are myself (30 ish), DD (17), DD (8 or she will be by the time we go!) DD (4) accompanied by Prince Charming my DH (30 ish) We are on the WDW every 3 years plan. I often get jealous of the AP holders on this board but I know in real life we are blessed to be able to go as often as we do. Charming loves Disney and spoils his girls there but he also likes to vacation at different places. This is a picture of us three years ago Sept. 2008.
We are staying Friday to Friday at Sheraton Vistana Villages. We are owners our home resort is Sheraton Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach. We love it there and we love our time share. We have stayed a few days on Disney Property but I really like having a full kitchen and washer and dryer. Also given our age range of our children we need extra space for teenage sullenness and preschool crankiness. Plus we pay for that time share every year! We will check in at Universals Royal Pacific Resort and check out on Sunday. That's right a side trip to Universal! I have only been to Universal Studios once. I liked the park and rides but it didn't have the "magic" to me. However Harry Potter has us all excited to see IOA! We choose to stay our extra non timeshare days at Universal because of the unlimited front of the line privileges.
Here is a link to Vistana Villages. We have a two bedroom, two bath condo with 3 TV's, a porch, washer, dryer and full kitchen including all utensils and cook ware. Also a master suite with whirlpool tub
Vistana does rent by the night. http://www.starwoodhotels.com/sheraton/property/overview/index.html?propertyID=5607
Our plan is to have all breakfast in the resort (or car) and get an early start. We have 3 big (read expensive) lunches planned and we hope to have two lunch/dinners at the time share during out mid day breaks. I planned all our big meals as lunches because it works for my family. My DH (especially) and the girls get starving and CRANKY while waiting for a late lunch. The DH is not a fan of "snacks" and needs "real" food. So I plan lunch at lunch time. They all get full and happy and generally we can eat a very light dinner and sometimes the DH even is happy with snacks and forgets his "real" food rules. I find it more economical to do the big lunch than trying to have a light lunch as they are hungry and WDW smells GOOD so they can't help themselves and fill up.
I have an order sitting in the Garden Grocer cart. Drinks, a few snacks but not many since we want to get the snacks at Disney that we don't get at home. Breakfast items like bars, muffins, yogurt, milk and juice. Taco stuff, Frozen Pizza and sandwich makings. I also ordered some laundry soap in a single use container. I am hoping to have only drinks, snacks and non fridge breakfast items left for our switch to Universal as we will loose our kitchen
I labored over the meals to order because I wanted meals where I didn't need to order extra items that would only get used once like olive oil! So Taco kits and ground meat seemed good. We can use the lettuce and tomato for a salad with the Frozen pizza. I was a little bit ehhh on the pizza but we'll have so much good food at Disney it won't hurt to have a frozen pizza. I am also collecting grape jelly packets when I go out to eat. They don't sell small jars of jelly and I don't want to transport or throw it away.
Here is my schedule :

this is our last night at WDW and the time share on Friday we will get up check out and check in at RPH! I have purchased 3 day single park tickets. It was cheaper to do single park than hoppers at Universal and this gives us 2 mornings at IOA. We will go to IOA on out Travel home day and get a half day of touring in. We do not plan for breaks during the day at Universal because they close pretty early and we'll go back to the hotel for a swim and an early night. Here is our Universal schedule.
