BF- Little Tikes My Real Digital Camera at Target

Ok, so I fought the crowds and bought two of the Litlle Tikes "My real digital camera" for 20.00 each. Now I am wondering if it is even worth the 20.00. Anyone have any experience with them? I would love to get some pros and cons feedback. The twins are 3 1/2.

It's probably only worth the $20 you paid. I would probably trade it up for the Fisher Price or V-Tech versions, but that's your call. $20 IS a great price for a kids' electronic toy.

Thank You for asking this question. Got me to looking at kids cameras on amazon and i'm now thinking about ordering one pink and one blue vtech camera for the grandkids.

Keep in mind that these are toys and will not take pics as well as an adult camera.

I know nothing about the company this one ships from. I've been dealing with amazon for yrs and have no complaints when it comes straight from amazon.

I asked a question like this a couple of months ago, the general responses were that the digital camara's designed for kids kind of suck and aren't worth the deal you get.

We ended up just buying our dd the cheapest (still ok quality) digital camara.

IMO $20 was a very good price for the Little Tikes camera.

Since I had to pay around $40 for either of them I chose the V-tech with the effects. Grandkids I bought for are 5yrs and 6yrs old. With kids this young I would be afraid of them breaking a real camera so it works for me. I don't think the kids will care so much about the image quality, I think they will enjoy playing with it.

On one hand I think it was only 20 but then the Vtech sounds better but costs more. Maybe for a starting camera we try what I already have. I can't expect perfection for only 20.00, right?

I bought these for my girls (because they were pink)! They are 4 and 2. I didn't read fantastic reviews about pic quality, but I bought them because they like to look at the pics on the screen right after they take the picture. I think $20 is great for a toy camera. I doubt the VTech takes amazing pictures; it's so the kids can have fun without breaking your camera!

If I could of got the Little Tikes camera for $20 thats the one my grandkids would be getting too. You got them for a great price and I think the kids will love them.

I'm so glad you posted the question . I would of never thought to check these online now I have 2 more gifts for the grandkids. They have a pretend toy camera now and they love playing with them. They are going to be thrilled to have a camera that actually takes pictures. I don't think they are going to care one bit that the pics are a little fuzzy.

I agree! I don't think the Vtech takes any better pics than the Little Tikes. You can compare them both in the links posted above. It was going to cost me aproximately $40 each no matter which one I bought. Only reason I chose the Vtech is for the effects the kids can put on the pics.

My sister got these for my kids 2 years ago.

The photos are pretty bad BUT the kids just love them! They use them all the time. We rarely upload the photos - they have a good time just snapping the pics, deleting them and starting over again.

They get great battery life too! if you truly want something for a little one to take good pics with, get a cheap "real" camera. But some something that won't break for the kids to use and have fun with, these are perfect.

I am giving my soon to be 6 years old my old digital Kodak camera since I got a new Canon one for the trip. As long as he can turn the dial to 'on', point and shoot, he'll be good to go. I'll handle the memory card stuff. He already has been using the video feature on the camera for a few months - loves to make 'movies' of himself . I just pop out the memory card and play it on the computer - delete and repeat.

I have researched the kids ditigal cameras and I am going with the v-Tech as it has the best ratings... BUT it is also $60 - $70.... so a lot more expensive... BUT think about it its basically just a TOY nothing else if we want them to have a quailty camera we might as well by them a real one!

I just bought the Vtech kids cameras online at amazon.com yesterday for $39. Got an email that they have already shipped.


ETA: I just checked and they are still $39 for the blue and pink ones. plus you get free shipping and pay no tax.

Completely agree. My DS (5) got the Fisher Price camera 2 Christmas' ago. Was around $70. Takes terrible pictures, and we go through a lot of batteries. But he really enjoys it. He walk around the house and snaps away. He is always very proud. My DD (2 1/2) also likes it. I think $20 is a great price for a child's camera.

It was sold out at my target by 8am, they were subbing the FIsher Price Kid Tough water proof camera. I was going to get the one on special but ended up with this one instead. I don't know how that one is or this one but my 4 year old really wanted a camera and she will be thrilled to just get one, and I only spent 20.00 rather than the 49.99 so that makes it not so bad!
