BF going to WDW after DH dies...need ideas !

We've ordered something for some friends from the Disney florist too. We had it sent about the 2nd day and they said that had been one of those days where the excitement of getting there had worn off and they had happened to have one of those days where some things had gone wrong and they were kind tired and grumpy. When they got back to the room they had our surprise waiting for them and they loved it. Since I didn't know really what stuffed animals the kids had, I asked the florist for ideas of what was brand new and she suggested some things. I think they also did crayons/colorbook or something which my friends said the kids used everytime they came back to the room. Since your friend is traveling alone with a child and doesn't have a spouse to help her it might be good for something the child can do quietly when they get back to the room. I think they will love it.

Oh, I am so sorry to hear about her loss and you are such a good friend to think of her. I, too, would try the Disney Florist.

My dad took my sister and me for Christmas, two months after my mother died of breast cancer.( this has been 13 years ago) Let me tell you, a trip to WDW is healing in itself. What a wonderful and magical place for mother and daughter to bond!!!

You can also call the GF to have some extra special goodie sent to them from Room Service--chocolate covered strawberries, etc. What a nice idea to do this for your friend! :flower:

Just what I was thinking...Strawberries for Mom and something Princessy for the little one! Or the Famous Cinderella Slipper for both!

I celebrated a birthday at the Yacht Club and my "BF" :) sent me a gift basket directly from Disney. She called the resort directly, and they made me a gift basket from whatever she wanted that they could get from the gift shop there. This was 2002, so I don't know if anything changed, but if not, I'm sure the GF would be able to do the same thing for you.
