Has anyone stayed here the night before their trip?

I've stayed at the Radisson and was wondering how it compares, both the room and the distance to the airport.

Is it easy to walk to terminal 2 or is a bus needed?

Thanks Andrea : 0 )

We have not stayed the night here, we too normally stop at the Radisson. However we tend to walk here for our breakfast because it is better than the Radisson breakfast and much cheaper. Here are the walking directions

To get to Bewleys use walkway to terminal 1. Go down the escalator when you see 'Welcome to terminal one' sign. Turn left and walk to the far end of check in desks. By the Thomas Cook sign there are 2 lifts, go down to level 1 (currently you are on level 5). Turn left out of lift (you are now outside) and head towards the building that has a sign 'Terminal 3 and an arrow pointing to this terminal'. From here there are blue signs showing the way to the hotels. It takes 10 minutes from the SAS Rad or 15 minutes from terminal 2.

I was 46 and my mother 73 last time we walked and find it easy to do. We will be doing the same on our November trip. I suppose if you have a lot of luggage you may need to use the mini bus supplied by the hotel.

My dad used them back in 2010 and said how good they were. He still talks about it now and they were only there for 1 night :rotfl2:

We normally stay at the Radisson as we have young children and the walk from Bewleys is just a bit too much - especially with luggage. Prior to having kids though we would walk from Bewleys to T2 no problem.

Thanks for the replies. I just can't decide whether to book Bewleys or the Radisson, Bewleys is a little cheaper but not by a massive amount but I might just give there a try this time after Clare Ds comments!

I might even stay for breakfast after what Smokey said and thanks for the directions too!

Stkf my little girl is nearly 12 now but with the luggage we will still probably end up on the bus!

Thanks
Andrea

We have stayed at Bewleys twice never had any issues just go to reception the night before your flight to arrange seats on the shuttle minibus to the airport they organise it all for you and tell you when to be there next morning. I think the airport shuttle was free but you better check their website first.
We will use them again if we ever go back:thumbsup2

The Raddison for us, with suitcases and my son's extra baggage it's perfect - nice easy trip to the terminal.

We stayed at bewleys last time very nice hotel and longe for those pure holiday drinkers no complaints

Personally, we love staying at the Radisson, we go check in as early as we can and then as soon as we are through passport control we go have a cooked breakfast!
