My sister and her family came over today for our holiday get together. We then went to see our uncle in the nursing home, leaving her 85 lb. goldendoodle at my house. We got back and he was so happy to see use. SOOOO happy, that his tail hit one of my Mickey head glass ornaments on the tree and broke it. As we were cleaning up the broken pieces my sister said "Where are the ears?" Turns out, he broke off the bottom of the head sphere, the rest of it was still hanging on the tree :rotfl2:

Oh, no!!! :rotfl2:

I know my labs had tails like baseball bats. Those girls could clear off a coffee table in a split second, LOL!!!

I know what you mean, Kathy. We were at a friend's house for dinner last night and Tucker was wagging his tail near the coffee table. Unfortunately there were lit candles on the table. We blew them out before his tail caught fire. :rotfl:

HI!!! We have a 85-pound 9-month Chocolate Lab puppy and this year we opted for a small christmas tree just because of him. He can destroy just about anything nowadays and this was a safer and saner way of surviving the holidays in one piece.

I was worried about the our 60 lb German shorthair destroying the tree this yr...however the 8 lb cat has managed to shatter 3 ornaments so far.
This is her ....it wasn't me....look

Luckily they weren't any of my disney ornaments.

I am sorry about your ornaments. We have our 63lb black lab puppy gated in the family room with the tree in the living room. She escaped once so far but I caught her right before she got to the tree :)

You are brave to have a lab puppy so close to the tree. My little tree with the one ornament (we went out of town to celebrate christmas) has somehow survived. Next year we will try the fullsize tree.

Our calico cat used to pluck ornaments off the tree at night and leave them throughout the house. We just never knew what we would find in the morning after she had spent the night with the tree. No tree for us this year - we have a puppy and weren't sure how she's handle it. She's pretty good at keeping herself out of trouble, but we thought the tree would prove to be too big a temptation for her to resist!
