After a great deal of reseach I decided to order a Peg Pergo Aira Tiwn LB from strollers4less.com. Now over a month later I wanted to warn others of my problems so they can avoid it to. (and after talking to another mother on a different message board who had the same problems as I.) I have ordered from them before a few years ago, the order took a few weeks to come so I was prepared for a 2 week wait. Well after 2 weeks I tried to contact them and got a message they were out of town for a convention in Vegas. Please allow anotherweek for the order (this message remains on there web site now, 2 weeks later.) I had a very difficult time getting them to return my contact, the toll phone number listed on the web site was not taking messages. They billed my cc on Sept 1st (day after placing order.) and said the order was processed and waiting for shipment. After 3 weeks and a little more then "sorry, thank you for your patience" canceld the order and palce a new one with a company I found on line called arunningstroller.com.


The toll free number was all over the web site and the stroller was listed for $1 less then the other place. I called the store at 9:00 on Monday night and the owner Marilyn answered. I told her my situation and she said I was not the 1st person to complain about this. Aparently Peg Pergo was not shipping to Strollers for less and she had many in stock and would have it shipped out tomarrow and she will send me an email with the tracking numbers.

Sure enough, my stroller shipped the next day and I had it by Saturday (for some reason it sat in Ohio for 24 hours, but that was a Fex Ex problem, not the stores.) I am very happy with it. She even gave me a free rain cover! She did not bill my cc until it was shipped.

The funny thing is while I was waiting the only aceptable excuse for me would of been if the company was based in FLA. It isn't, New Jersery. However arunningstroller.com is. And they managed to get it to me right away. Infact I just emailed her and thanked her and she said they got power back on Monday and Internet access Tuesday.

Stroller for less still hasn't taken the charge off my card, and says it will be 1 to 2 billing cycles as their policy. I called my Disney Visa and had the mater put on dispute. Their web site still has my order placed as active and wating for shippment (but I did get email confrimation of the canceled order.)

The other women I talked to had the same problems, but with a McClarn double stroller. She also ended up canceling and placing a new order with a differnt company. I just wanted to warn others so they don't have the same problems.

Oh lord, don't tell me this. I've got a stroller bag and rain cover coming from them, hopefully before my trip. I've ordered from them before without a problem, but the e-mail about the convention has me worried. :(
 
Missus Toad, I hope for your sake I am wrong. I wish I would of posted this sooner, but I don't like to "bash" people. However iI want others to avoid this headache.

They have a section under "contact us" that you can email them, but in my experince they are poor at getting back to you (2 to 3 days turn around and then not very helpful answers.) They don't have a toll free number, but when I called the number on the web site I couldn't get a person, or even leave a message. However the other women who had problems was able to get through. She did say they were mostly rude and not helpful to her.

Maybe they are doing better with smaller things like the covers then the actual stroller. I apears they say things are in stock, but that doesn't mean they actually have them. They then have the maufactor ship it out.

I just ordered a schwinn double umbrella from Strollers4less on Sunday evening and I had it today. Only 4 business days after my order, the website said it would be 10-14 days so I was shocked. This is my first experience with them and I can't complain.
 

Thank you for the post! I have checked into that website in the past, and have considered ordering a stroller from there. NOw I will be sure to avoid ordering from Stollers4Less.

Hopefully it was just a fluke, but why take a chance....

Glad to hear you were able to get your stroller from the other website!

That is good to hear, maybe they have fixed their problems, but somehow I doubt it. I am guessing that they aren't having the problems with domestic brands and the higher end Peg and McClarn, etc... are the problems.

Missus Toad, I hope you get your order soon. They still have not offically canceled my order or reversed the charges on my card yet. In my opinon there is no excuse for a company who bills a card and still hasn't shipped the product over 2 weeks later.
