well, i was all excited because i booked the DreamMakerPackage for 4/3 to 4/9 at the FWC. then i was reading a post that mentioned mousesaver and new spring codes for spring discounts and packages. I went to Disneyworld.go and checked to see the rates and to my dismay purchasing a room only package and 6 night/day park hopper advance pass seperately saves $450 over the package. Is 100 disney dollars and some pins worth that i dont think so. So before you book, check or have your agent check all of your options.

If you are outside of the 45 days, can't you switch over to room only and use the codes?

thats exactly what i did just a few moments ago. Just thought i would share the information that the DM package through DV might not be the best deal out there

Hi to all,

I am brand new to this board today. All I can say is thank goodness for all of you and this board. I am constantly confused trying to figure out all the deals, packages, etc. for my family's trips... Please keep all the info coming! We are going May 1-May 9 5 nights at the Poly then 3 night concierge at the Beach Club. I am hoping for some good codes soon!!!

I am not saying it was worth the difference, but the package had the UPH passes, not just park hoppers.

And I think it depends where you are staying, how many children are going free, etc.
I priced it out both ways, using the CTH code, and it was cheaper to get the package.
(Rate was only $37 a night cheaper, not enough to pay for 2 children's passes).
But, it proves you have to be on your toes!

I guess my whole point is just look at all options because a package might not be the best solution. Also the post regarding the tickets I got ultimate park hoppers as well and still saved money. I thought that the DM package with The 100DD was the way to go but it proved not to be. we are happy to save money when we can.

Wouldn't everyone want park hoppers anyway? Can't you use those on future trips? The UPH that come with packages expire when the package does.

It sounds like you did the right thing.
