Adult son, girlfriend and myself did a last minute trip to Disney last weekend staying in a standard room. They must have overbooked, (cheerleaders staying there) because we were told we where upgraded to a suite at check in(around noon).I was aware of the layout and accepted. What surprised me was the condition of the sleeper sofa in the room . The mattress was very thin and uncomfortable for 2 aduts. I did call housekeeping and they added a egg crate pad which did help a bit. We were only statying for 3 nights, so they made do. It was nice having seperate bathrooms.
In hindsight , I wished I would have pushed to an upgrade to a moderate resort that would of had 2 regular beds. Think twice about the suites if adults will be sleeping on the sofa sleeper.

Must be they are ready to be replaced. When I slept on the sleeper sofa a few years ago it was very comfortable.

All I can say is the one we slept on, I could only handle for a couple nights not comfortable at all.

Sorry but I don’t see how one person sleeping on the sofa bed instead of two would make a thin mattress more comfortable.

Because one person could have slept on it in the sofa position. It would not have to be made out into a bed. Much more comfortable.

I guess if the person was short enough. It looks like the sofa converts into a double bed which would make it 54", not many adults can fit comfortably on a 4 foot 6 inch sofa.

The chair bed is very comfortable for one.

My wife and I had the same problem for a one night stay. You could feel the metal bars digging in no matter the position you tried. The floor would have been better. They delivered a mattress and problem solved. Lost about two hours sleep. 1st world problem

The fact that they even have the egg crates on hand is a dead give away right there.
It's the same at Saratoga Springs too. Horrible sofa beds. They invested in egg crates to make them tolerable. What the need to do is burn the things and provide something serviceable. The sofa beds at CC and BWV were not bad. Same people in my group slept fine on those. Obviously CC were brand new

I slept in a sofa bed recently that was very comfortable. Instead of metal bars holding the mattress, it had a flexible material that was suspended from the sides of the metal frame.

Awesome upgrade, OP! Twice the square footage and twice the bathrooms!

They opened when, 2006? And I haven't heard of the fold outs being replaced. It is more than time for it.

They have been replaced. We first stayed there in 2009. The current sofabeds are different.
