Beware:Mousepinsonline.com

I am very happy with them. After reading this thread and finding out I could gets pins to trade for so cheap, I ordered a grab bag of 5 pins last week. I received them today. All 5 are different: a Minnie Mouse, Tinkerbell (which I will trade b/c I have a tink I like better), a hidden Mickey (which I will trade b/c it isn't as Disney as I would like), a Disneyland (which I will keep b/c we went to Disneyland in april for first time), and a Dopey!! Yes, I will definitely keep the Dopey b/c he is my fave, and because I read somewhere that his is harder to come by.

I'm going to drag this thread up to mention that all those disappointed with dupes in their grab bags. I will point out that the thread starter bought a grab bag of 50. The larger grab bags will likely have many dupes compared to the smaller lots.

I have always been happy with my grabs from mousepins.

I too had a really good experience with mousepins.
And the whole point of doing it this way is so you can trade for pins you like so it doesn't matter if you get duplicates!!
And actually, the pins that we got were so great it was sort of hard to pick ones that we would like to part with!
And if I remember correctly, we didn't get any duplicates in our 25 grab bag.
Can't wait to see what we get in the next batch!! :thumbsup2

We buy off ebay and don't really care if we get duplicates. I think it is actually more fun that way b/c the kids actually WANT to trade their pins versus keeping them.

Not trying to do a commercial or anything, but I used www.pinseller.com and had a great experience.

It was $75 for a grab bag of 25 genuine Disney pins. She guaranteed that no more than 2 or 3 of the pins would be duplicates, and that there would also be a few CM pins and a few limited edition pins. We really didn't care about any of that, since I was getting them for the sole purpose of giving my kids pins to trade, in preparation for our trip, at a reasonable cost. Sure, I felt like a fool shelling out around $80 (including shipping) for a bunch of Disney pins, but I quickly realized that buying them for about $3 each was WAAAAY better'n buying 'em for $8 or $10 each at the parks just to trade them away.

It was great, and we even kept a few without trading them. I insisted on keeping the Mission:Space FASTPASS pin.:woohoo:
I hope you don't get offended, but that actually seems like a lot to pay for each pin. I am buying a lot of 200 for just over $100. I have bought from ebay before and was totally happy with what I got. Sure there were duplicates as on the last trip I bought 100. I paid only $60 for 100. They are all legit and probably the same ones as people are getting for $3 a pin. Just wanted to let you know in case you wanted to try getting more for your money. I always like hearing about good deals myself.

They are more for trading away then collecting. They are really good to deal with IMO, but like I said IF your goal is to get some pins at a price that doesn't hurt when your kids trade them for something else-then they are great.

If you are looking to collect, it's better to buy from the Disney Store, or Disney online-if of course you can't make it to the parks. Or even another collector :)

I was planning on buying pins on ebay or another site before we went, to save money. Does anyone know roughly how much I can expect to pay per pin if I buy a 25-50 pin lot?

Thank you!

How many pins do you usually trade or take with you to start your trading. I have 2 boys and was thinking that it would be fun to do.

I just bought a lot of 25 pins earlier this week (they shipped super fast - I just got them today!!!) from bizzybee at Missing Piece Collectibles on eBay. I paid $49.95 with free shipping and the pins are new in their original packaging with Disney parks price tags on the back. I am very pleased with my purchase and the kids will love them!

Totally agree with that :rotfl:

My cousin took his two daughters to Disney last summer, and I told them about pin trading so they were totally up for it. I got them 50 pins for about 25-30$ off of eBay. I don't recall there being any duplicates now that I think about it, but I think they chose as many to keep, if not more, as to trade. If there had been duplicates maybe they would have traded more pins ;)

I've bought from the same seller on eBay three times, two of which were close together (for my cousin's daughter, and then for myself and DW for our Nov. trip). One pack to another was pretty much the same, but within a same package they were all different pins.
