I've just been on some other Disney boards and theres a post on there from a lady who is in WDW at the moment.
She bought her tickets from Ticketmania.com.
They used them on the first day, no problem, when they went to AK today they were told the tickets were invalid. :(
Security came and gave them a case number, and said all fraudulent tickets are to be reported to the Sherrifs office.
They can't phone Ticketmania because they're closed over the weekend, now she doesn't know whether to just buy day passes as they only have 2 days left on there holiday.
Bad news isn't it :(
I'm glad I've seen this, as I was considering Ticketmania myself.

Alexandra I'm really surprised to see this - many of us have got tickets from Ticketmania, and not had any problems with them.
I bought hoppers through them and Universal passes, and have gone back a year later and used the unexpired days on those hoppers too.
We also had posters who, subsequent to Sept 11th, didn't receive their passes in the post but they were waiting for them when they got to Orlando.
I do feel for that poor lady - effectively losing a day of her trip plus the upset that went with it - I do hope and expect that Ticketmania will compensate them in some way. Please keep us updated.

Reading the original thread, it seems to be an isolated incident of someone being sent part used tickets instead of new ones - worrying yes.

The best way to check yours is to look at the issue dates on the back of the tickets which should be close to when they sent them to you (within a couple of weeks say). In the case of the person who had a problem, the tickets were at least a year old as they had been used a year before!

I find this a bit surprising as well because we bought tickets from them for our trip in March. While we were there D.H. managed to lose one so we rang lost property who didn't have it and told us to ask at Guest Services at the next Park we wanted to visit. We did this & they tracked the ticket , where & when it was purchased & for whom and issued a replacement with no problems at all.
If Disney can check that easily it makes the situation sound very odd indeed.

We too were going to get tickets through Ticketmania but as we are only interested in the 14 day 5 park Flex Ticket I think we might get them direct from Universal just to be on the safe side.

Personally, I will be more inclined to use Ticketmania in future ( I used them last year) because it sounds like the way they responded to the issue was first class. There is always a risk that something goes wrong in the system and the company that reacts and fixes it to the customer's satisfaction is the one I would want to use. JMHO.
