I know many of us use discounted gift cards to fund our WDW vacations. This is the first year I have purchased gift cards from a reseller rather than just using my Redcard at Target. I used Raise.com for all my orders until I read about Card Cash. My first Card Cash order for Target egift cards went smoothly with no issues. My second purchase this evening did not go as well. I bought an Avenue gift card at 30% off thinking I got a great deal....until I went to place an online order and found it had no value, as it had been used in full in March :/ . I just emailed them and hope it doesn't take a ridiculous amount of time to get a refund. I think they are closed over the weekend so I won't hear anything until next week. I ended up having to purchase a card from Raise to complete my order since it was a one day sale...and I need capris for my trip. Hopefully there will be no problems since Card Cash supposedly has a 45 day guarantee (and not even 24 hours has gone by). Just a stressful hassle. I will stick with Raise.com from now on.

I hope you're able to get your refund quickly.

I've received zero balance gift cards from Raise twice now as well as being sent a merchandise credit instead of the gift card that I ordered. I don't think it's the fault of Raise so much as it is the seller, or the owner, of the gift / egift cards. Raise gave me refunds on the zero balance gift cards within 24 hours of contacting them. With the merchandise credit, they sent me a paper to attach the card to and a postage paid label for the envelope. Once they receive the envelope with the card and paper in it they'll finish processing my refund.

That's the risk you take with buying through a third-party reseller. ALWAYS use these cards within in the guarantee time. I generally will only buy them if I plan to use them immediately. Since you did find the problem quickly, you should get a refund. Just be sure to keep track of all correspondence in case they balk - then you could dispute it with your credit card. I'm a little surprised CardCash didn't verify the gift card was still good before they sent it to you - basic intelligence would say they should verify it at a minimum (1) at the time they purchase it AND (2) right before they send it out to a purchaser.

I have bought from several different sites and I have had gift cards with issues on all of the sites. I figure with quantity we are buying it's inevitable!

But, Raise, Giftcardzen,Cardpool and Cardcash have all been really good when it has happend.

I have bought gift cards from many sites. however, this winter i bought a starbucks card from cardcash. They charged my cc but said the gift card was out of stock when the order went through. I emailed them 4 times. Then called them on three seperate occasions each time on hold for over an hour and was assured each time that teh charge would be reversed. It never was. I finally had to dispute the charge with chase. uggg never cardcash again, just because if something was wrong I was always 64 in the wait que and they never responded to one email.
