Beverages other than pop & water on the free DDP?

I've read that Le Cellier allows you to get smoothies as your beverage on the DDP. Does any other TS or CS allow you to get any different drinks than the standard pop, iced tea, or water?

During our recent visit to Kona Cafe, we were able to get their infamous pressed pot coffee and smoothies on the DDP. :thumbsup2 And at Raglan Road a variety of juices was available. At The backlot Express in MGM my son was allowed a huge frozen coke cooler on the DDP as well.

While it is all subject to change without notice, we were often allowed beverages on the Dining Plan beyond the minimum required.

Yes had the smoothie at Le Cellier last year. Was great. But most places drank the ice tea. You are allowed orange juice (for breakfast) plus with a coffee.

We have had the WONDERFUL milkshakes (PB&J was mmmmmmmm) at 50's Prime Time Cafe as our beverage on the DDP. As others have said the smoothies at LeCellier are also included and very tasty too :).

You get the milkshake in a glass AND they bring out the large metal cup that they prepared the milkshake in with enough milkshake to fill your glass another time. VERY indulgent, but hey, calories don't count in WDW, right?!?!??

And the yummy "bottomless" shakes at Whispering Canyon! :thumbsup2

Just as a basic rule of thumb, usually if you are ordering off of a menu ala carte, smoothies and such are included. (Most of the time, only on an adult meal, though) If you are at a buffet or family style restaurant, they are not. Basic choices should include sodas, 1 or 2 fruit juices, iced tea, hot tea, coffee, milk and chocolate milk.

I would have to say that was not my experience at MM, CR, Marrakesh, GF, Tony's, or Spoodles. We asked at all 6 places and neither adults nor children were allowed anything but the basics. Kona was the only place that allowed us to ordered smoothies, and in that case the server actually suggested it.

This is what is a little frustrating about the DDP. A lot of time it depends not only on the restaurant, but on your particular server. :confused3 We ate at Ohana in 2005 on free dining and our server said smoothies were not included. We ate there again on free dining in 2006 and that server said they were included.

I go in not expecting extras, but always ask politely anyway. When they say yes it's a pleasant surprise. :wizard:

First time on DDP in May 06 very sweet Pepper Market server suggested Smoothies  ,went back Oct 06 our not so nice server, never suggested them, so I asked & he did let us have them, but boy was he in a bad mood.
