Beverage tastings online

I see they have tastings on CC day at 2pm. Anyone know if they do it on the island or do you have to go back to the boat? I am not a huge beach person, but CC is the one stop I do go in the water and wouldn't want to have to leave to go back to the boat to do a tasting. But if they did it someplace at the adult beach that would be pretty cool.

We did a Mojito tasting that was on CC when we went there on the Fantasy in 2015. It was held at the Heads Up bar on the family beach. It was done by one of the bartenders from Skyline. The four of us in our group all loved it.

I feel a little better about this then. It just pisses me off they'd add this after the booking of activities started and not sent a notification "new activities available"
They probably feel that "word of mouth" gets the information out there quick enough.

I also was bummed bc the mojito tasting was at 2 on CC day. Someone in my FE group told me that she did it this summer and it was held on CC, not back on the ship. She said that the class and the view were amazing!

120 days out? Must be the NYC cruise 11-11! Maybe? :) if so we'll be on that with you. I'm excited that we can book tastings in advance now! Although I can't book until 90 days out... boo for silver.

@Jwhittin we are on that cruise as well and love the tastings. When I saw we could pre book about 2 weeks ago I could only get mixology, boo ;( even though that's our favorite

I wonder, similiar to Palo and Remy, they still have some available once your are onboard. I'll be checking, we have done most, but the mojito looks interesting, and the tequila is always great

We were able to get a mixology and tequila/margarita tasting so far. I'm sure we'll book more once on board. 60 days and counting!

Ugh, Private Mixology to be offered Port days only? That's not cool. I hope that isn't true for the 7 day cruises.

It might vary from cruise to cruise; we were on the Wonder to Alaska last week and our private group mixology was held on our last sea day.

It's kind of a recent change. Like only in the last 4-5 months. Possibly, those private mixologies that were booked before the change were set up on sea days (or whenever). But most recently, they've only been doing them on port days.

We sailed August 28-Sept 4 and our private mixology wasn't finalized with DCL until the first week of August, still on a sea day.

Purely a theory here, but because people DO do Alaska for the ports, they are probably more likely to schedule the private ones on a sea day because I suspect most people would totally balk and not participate on a port day in Alaska.

But for the Bahamas and/or Caribbean ports (where it seems to be de rigeur to schedule them on port days) look at how many people whine about "same old, same old" or "I'm scared to get off" so it is easier to schedule them for port days without disrupting a lot of people's plans.

That's a really good point for sure!
