Hey all, we're cruising on the Dream this November and I'll be able to book activities soon. Can anyone tell me what tasting they recommend as the "can't miss"? Do they always offer the same tastings every cruise? We didn't do any beverage tastings when we last cruised but were thinking of checking one out this time around since we discovered DD LOVES Kids Club and is content to be left there whenever :)

I don't know how much, if any, the beverage tastings vary from ship to ship, but since the Dream does shorter cruises, she might not offer quite as many?

We have enjoyed various tastings over the years cruising with DCL. I like the Mixology and Champagne tastings as I am not really into hard liquor tastings, but have gone to them with DH and/or family. DH likes the Bourbon/Whiskey tastings. Lots of folks here have raved about the Chocolates and Liqueurs tasting, even posting some very cool pix of the table set up with all the goadings for that tasting!

No doubt lots of recent Dream cruisers will be able to help you more. Bon Voyage! :sail:

The drink tastings offered for advance booking on our 3-day Dream cruise were: (1) Mixology; (2) Martinis; (3) Champagne; (4) Wine; (5) Beer; and (6) Cognac. Most were around 3/4 pm but the cognac was late at night (10pm) so might not work out with your kids' club plan for DD. I guess it kind of depends on what you like to drink. I hate champagne and beer but others love it, and love martinis but others think they are gross, so I hate to recommend one or the other.

We love the Mojito class offered on the Dream. Mixology changes bartender to bartender so even if having done one previously, you'll likely not see the same drinks in doing again.

I love mixology because there’s a variety and last time my daughter and I got to make up a drink. It was fun. Also wine and champagne is fun. I always go to the Martíni tasting but only really like the sweeter drinks. We are leaving sat on the fantasy for 11 days and I think I have four tastings

I hope they are good too, because I signed up for a bunch of them on the Fantasy in Sept.

Me too! Which Sept sailing are you on? We leave on the 8th. :yay:

We have done a number of tastings on the Wonder for Alaska and Hawaii. They are fun even if I am not a big fan of whatever the booze du jour is. :-)
