Going to WDW in less than two weeks. My close do not fit and I went shopping and found nothing! :sad2:

I'm between sizes. One is two big and two has too much room. I don't want to wear tight clothes at WDW, but do not want to spend the $$$$ on buying clothes that are currently big!

I went to Lord & Taylor, Filenes, Lane Bryant, Wal-Mart, Target --- nothing!

I have one pair of capris and that's it!

Any suggestions?

I would think if you shop around you should be able to find something since clothes sizes really differ from one maker to another.

Is the problem that one part of your body has gotten smaller but another part is still large? If so, we could probably help more if you tell us where the clothes are not fitting on your body.

I might suggest a couple sun dresses, since they are supposed to be swingy anyway and should fit as you lose more weight. Or elastic waist or drawstring pants might help since you can adjust them.

Sometimes you have to be patient while your body settles into its new shape. Good luck.

My waist is thick, and hips are slightly smaller than bust (large busted).

Therefore, capri's are too tight in the waist or huge in the waist and look terrible. Also, legs on capri's seem to have gotten very large. The thigh area (and I am large thighed), are big and baggy. I like a contoured look (more tailored) and therefore, am having trouble. Hence, why I do not buy drawstring. They tend to be too casual for my taste.

I've tried on Jones NY, Ralph Lauren, Context, Valerie Stevens, Lee, Dockers, Karen Scott, Izod and NY Collection. Don't remember the Wal-Mart brands or Target, but they didn't help, either.

The closest I've gotten is Ralph Lauren. I didn't buy since I was concerned about spending $65 per capri. Dockers fit well but $50 per capri when they are only temporary is a tough swallow.

What are your favorite brands? Maybe I haven't tried them yet?

I've noticed that legs on shorts and capris are all cut large (and long) this summer. I can't think what clothing designers were thinking when they all ganged up and decided to make everyone's clothes so ugly this year! I finally found some Lee shorts on sale that are more of a traditional cut.

Personally, I may be taking two sizes of clothes on our upcoming trip and wearing whichever clothes feel most comfortable that day.

Your snugger clothes will stretch a bit during the day and may feel better a couple hours after you put them on. If you cut down on salt (soda, crackers, etc.), you may be able to get rid of a little extra water weight which could help you fit into the smaller size.

Good Luck!

Thank you, EthansMom.

I've been trying to diet, but it seems to be backfiring. However, when on vaca, I tend to drink all of my water and eat well (with the exception of a carmel apple )

I'm just so scared of going to WDW and nothing fitting. I can't wear tight capris and go on Splash Mountain or Space Mountain. I'll never get down or up! I won't be able to sit! :rotfl:

I'll be trying eBay to see if I can find any NWT capris that I can buy and then discard if necessary.

:confused3

I'd run down to a cheapo store (walmart/target/ross) and pick up a few things in the larger size, knowing they were "disposable". Realize maybe they are not your style, but you might be a new you just for this vacation. Then you won't feel bad when you never wear them again.
