Better to go to or avoid EMH Parks?

Should I try to get to parks for early entry or late entry hours or avoid these parks on those days? I thought Unofficial Guide says to avoid them. What has been your experience?

Thanks!

I think it depends on if you are going to use them. The parks buisy days do coincide with the EMH. We never make it up early enough to use the early opening, so we go someplace else. on late nights we start someplace else and hop over in time to get out bracelettes.

Last year, we did Early Magic Hours every day of our trip. It was great. It was during spring break (peak season). At MK, we were able to do Pirates, Aladdin's Magic Carpet, Splash Mountain, Haunted Mansion, BTMR, Philarmagic, and Pooh in 2 hours. After that crowds got really bad, so we used our parkhoppers to go to another park. It worked out really well. I would definately do Early Magic over the Late entry hours. The option of staying up late is definately more appealing than getting up early.

I think the best park for using morning EMHs is the Magic Kingdom. I'd avoid them entirely at the Animal Kingdom, and the other two parks fall somewhere in between.

Thanks for reading the book!

Len

I'd say definitely use the early hors at Animal Kingdom

The Animal are more active, crowds are smaller, and temps are down.

We used the early hours. Did everything we wanted to do, ate and were out of the park by 12:30

Its worth going to the late hours at Epcot if only to watch the fountain at night and just get a different perspective on the whole park. Don't couunt on doiing any blockbuster rides though.

Lat hours at MK allowed us to walk right onto BTMRR and wait 5 minutes for Splash Mountain. But the kids rides had hour plus waits.

Experience here on the board seems to be to avoid the late EMH park at all costs. Reports say they are very crowded!

In the past we have used the morning for EMH for all 4 parks. I would recomended it for MK, and AK. My daughter would include EPCOT because she loves Test Track and we can usually ride it 2-3 times with no wait at all.
Have never tried the late EMH but it sounds they get very busy. Hope Disney brings back E nights. :earsboy:

We just came back and avoided most of the EMH. We did Epcot early one day and it wasn't too bad. We tried the Studios one evening and it was a mob scene. We only managed to ride TOT once the EMH started and only becuase we heard a CM tell someone that they reopen the Fast Pass machines when EMH starts. The stand by line was something like 85 minutes so we used the FP and went back to the hotel. Everything had long waits on the board. We went to MK early Thurday and Saturday mornings (NOT EMH)and Frontierland was empty. Most people seem to go to Space Mountain and Buzz. We got to see Mickey's Philharmagic with about six other people on Thursday morning. If you are going in a busy season avoid the evening EMH and try to do things early.

Thanks for the advice! I think I will only do the Early Magic Hours and avoid the late ones.

Len, great book! I wish I had bought it before my last trip to Disney. Lots of wasted time in hot lines! I also just enjoy reading it because it gets me excited for my trip!
