I think I have this correct, but not sure. We will be going to Universal for two days in February. Staying offsite at another hotel because we are also doing Disney. Would it be smarter to book an onsite hotel for one night then purchasing express passes? I can get a rate of $166 a night at Endless Summer. If we check in at 6:30am do we then have express passes for that day and the next? The Express Passes separately are like $172 a person.

‘Thanks for any clarification!

We did 2 days at Universal this summer. Booked one night at Royal Pacific to get EP for both days. Night before we booked a cheap hotel across the street. Got up early and drove across the way to RP and checked in, parked and headed to the parks. We were there by early entry rope drop.

You can also check out the price of converting one of your passes to an AP and using that to get an AP rate on your deluxe hotel.
