My family is planning to do the Land and Sea package in Dec. 2008 but someone told me that it was better to book these seperate and not as the package. Is it much cheaper to book seperatly and does anyone know if the dining plan is included for the land part of the Land and Sea Plan? Thanks!!

DEFINATELY book it separately- you can get a code or discount applied to the land part this way. Otherwise, you cannot. :thumbsup2

Thanks! What about transportation? Will Disney still take your luggage and transport you to the cruise ship if you book it seperatly or will we have to find our own transportation?

Yes, you can still book transfers with DCL if you are booking separately. We did that for our cruise. You can get transfers from airport to port, port to resort, or port to airport depending on your needs for your trip. Each of these transfers is a one-way transfer and is $35 per person. Resort to aiport or airport to resort transportation needs to be done with your resort reservation for Magical Express (and of course is free).

And it looks like you can add on DDP in 2008 for the land/sea package.

Also, you might get more in depth answers if you post over on the Cruise Lne forum. I learned a lot over there prior to our cruise. :)

It's really best to price it out both ways. The pro's of the package, is convenience. It's one stop shopping and you save some steps by only having to check in once. If you like having flexibility and shopping around for discounts though, booking them separately is more appealing. You aren't tied to a specific resort based on your stateroom category and you can apply room discounts.
