Well right now I have two ressies.. I have one with the "67" code and coupon Nd2119071q for a mini van for Aug 30-9/6 for $164.62
but... since I am a executive member of emerald I decided to do one under the Midsize car as well with the same discounts and got that for $101.00
for a total.. I check with the MCO counter and they tell me that even though
I picked mid size since I am an exec. member I go the executive aisle and pick a top line car from there... anyone know if this is true..

I know this sounds a bit snarky, but I think that people should STOP CALLING NATIONAL to verify the code. It has already been verified many, many times. Please do not bring more attention to the code in order to give yourself peace of mind. I am afraid that with all the phone calls it will be reviewed and pulled before the rest of us get to use it!

I too hate to be snarky, but if I need to call to be able to use this code with peace of mind then.........sorry.

so 57 is the employee affiliate code

and 67 is the complimentary code

is this correct?

just booked with the 67 code and am picking up at emerald aisle.....booked midsize for 92.25 from 5/27 through 6/3

I *think* that the Executive Aisle works the same as the Emerald Aisle. You may select a car from the ExA *or* you may select a car from the aisle which has the car class you reserved. So, you may select from the ExA aisle or from the midsized aisle. One of the advantages of Executive Emerald membership is that you can book a Full Sized car and only pay for a Mid Sized car. So, I would book at FS car just in case there is nothing you want on the ExA.

Yeah, but I think it's selfish to do something that may ruin it for the rest of us just so you feel better. IMO, if you want peace of mind then book a back-up reservation. I have one, but it will cost me hundreds of dollars more if National reviews the code and invalidates it.

Okay I modifiyed my ressie to do FULL size -executive aisle. got the same price as my midsize so that is good. still $101 for the week.
Now hopefully they will have the cars in the EXEC. Asile I like... They are suppose have Magnums/300's/Lucerines and cadaliac in that asile..any of those will work for me.
Has anyone ever gotten a car from that asile from MCO?

While I am not an expert on auto insurance, I did review both the coverage on my auto policy (USAA) and my credit card (Amex).

On my auto insurance, I am covered for non-owned vehicles as long as I have a reasonable belief I am authorized to use the vehicle. Even if National says I am not eligible for the code, I still believe that I am authorized to rent the car, the only question is the price. As a result, I beleive my auto insurance would cover me, even if the damage waiver from National was not effective. But, I might have to pay an increase in the rental rate plus my deductible.

As to my credit card coverage, this specifically requires that I decline the waiver offered by the car rental company. As a result, I expect I would have no coverage from the standard coverage associated with my CC. So, again, I would have to pick up my deductible.

If I sign up for the AMEX Premium coverage mentioned in another post, the coverage is primary and pays without regard to declining the damage waiver offered by National. As a reuslt, this coverage should pick up the entire cost, including the deductible. Because I am a CA resident, this coverage is pretty cheap ($16). We may sign up for it.

Sorry this is so long, but everyone should remmeber that this discussion only relates to damage to the rental car (and its occupants), not to any other car or any other person. You need liability insurance to cover that and the potential claim could be huge.

While National's liability coverage is included with 57 and 67, if you have any concerns that your car insurance policy would not cover you for liability to third parties if you booked a reservation with these codes and were not eligible, you should think about booking only with a code that you are sure you are eligible for. That would probably also exclude the Carlson code, the Costco code is you are not a member, the Amex code if you are not a cardholder, etc.

Best of luck -- Suzanne

Been an Executive Aisle member for 3+ years now and visit WDW 5-6 trips a year and have yet to find a cadi on the Executive Aisle, maybe on the Elite Aisle (but will never make it to that level--we manage to stay at Executive Aisle by renting 40+ days a yea). I have managed a magnum and a Buick Lucerne, generally the cars there will have alot more loaded cars.

Please help me figure this out.

We arrive MCO on a Sunday 12:05 am, and will return it Friday 11am. That counts as 6 days. National website won’t take coupons ‘ND2119071Q’ or ‘NF1982JDD’ which would be another $35/$30 off, but still quoted a good rate with ‘57’ or ‘67’ codes.

When I put in pick up time as Saturday 11:30pm and return Friday 11am, then both coupons worked with ’57 & 67’ codes. What would happen if I book it for pick up Saturday 11:30PM and not pick car up until 1 hour later on Sunday 12:30am? Will they still honor the confirmed cheaper rate (with coupon) when being 1-hr late that’ll put rental starting on a Sunday? Hope you can help me figure this out. Thanks.

Your rental starts when you pick up the car and ends when you drop it off. I would not count on your coupon being valid, but I guess it's worth a try.

Are there seperate Executive and Elite aisles at MCO?

I'm excited - thanks to all of you, I got a free membership to the Emerald Club, then upgraded to Executive Status (for free), Used the 67 code with the national website coupon code ND35, and got the "Executive Aisle selection" for dates 6/6/08 to 6/9/08 for 70.55. Was a bit of work, but well worth it since I was looking at a compact for 128.00 for those dates. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

N2NN.. What exactly do you mean by "loaded" I can deal with the buick and/or the magnum but are fine size cars and like them both.
and love the price I got for the rental... do you know what other types are in that asile.. I would just had to get a say "g6" type car.. I would rather the mini van or suv over that type.. so I am nervous to cancel my other ressie.

Usually the loaded ones are leather seats, warming seats (in Florida, go figure), separate air/heat controls, sunroofs, extras that are generally not found in some of the Emerald Aisle rentall car selections. I guess in general, more bells and whistles. I think when we had the Lucerne it had the leather seats and lots of gadgets.

Not sure were Elite is located at MCO -- guess since it's not in the cards for us, I've never looked. But I'm sure the best stuff is located there!!

N2mm.. thank you for your answers on the cars. I love the sunroof
idea too... I have one in my car here and love it.. I think I may just stick with my Exec. ressies and drop the minivan one..
I think I will find a nice car compatable to what I drive now for me and my mom and son..

there was a link on another discussion board giving you the link
I know the contract id is 5002975 and the source is 1902
not sure if you can just enter that as a new emerald memeber and resign up - it will assign right to your old member number though at the end.
skips the $50.00 charge and all.

How did you do that?

Thanks!

If you are already an Emerald Club Member, go through like you are signing up again. It'll ask you at the end if you have switched employers.....just make sure you check off "no" and continue.

Go back and modify your existing ressie to a full size car - will be the same price as the midsize and you'll see the level of service change to "executive".

Hope that helps! :cool1:

I did my friends for him as well and his "employer" was different than mine, way different in fact. And neither of our employers were actually our employers. How is that?

I could use the price break, so I've research this pretty carefully. Everything you say is absolutely true as long as you can prove you're eligible for the rate code and the insurance. You do sign a contract accepting the rate/insurance from National. If they find you're absolutely not eligible for the code/insurance deal after a problem then the claim can be easily denied for (and I wish there was a better word for this because it's kind of harsh) fraud.
Then you're stuck with asking your insurance co to cover-and they will get the audit paperwork from National with the reason for denial. Personally, I would be very surprised if many insurances were happy to step into a situation like that. (They really don't like that harsh word I mentioned.)
As we've said before, it's a matter of personal comfort level. It's not worth it to me to risk a lot of headaches and possible problems with my insurer or credit card.
I keep hoping for a great code open to all. Many of the National offers expire at the end of June, so maybe we'll see some good deals then. Here's hoping!!

This is assuming using this code is fraud... which it is not. I have called, and so have others about the "67" code, and have been told it is a courtesy code and we MAY use it. I am commiting no fraud. I am using the code as I was told I could.
I was only referring to people's hesitation to use it because of the included insurance. You insurance will take over if for whatever reason the car rental insurance does not.

I'm comfortable with this code having checked with both National and my own insurance company. By the way.. my insurance agent gave a quick call to National while I was there and confirmed I may use this code. I didn't do a hypethetical thing with my insurance agent. I told her about the code, gave her the code and confirmed my insurance info. Fraud is a crime and must be proven. I think someone claiming I committed some kind of fraud would have an awfully hard time doing so.
