Better Prices than Windsor Hills?

I'm crunching numbers for a 2014 trip trying to get an idea, and it looks like our dates are going to fall in the $599 range for WH. With cleaning and tax it comes to $761.62.

Anyone found anywhere better. We need three beds (king preferably, the others can be doubles or queens.) We would LOVE a washer/dryer. And access to a pool (Doesn't need to be private.)

Bonnet creek is high season in October.. anywhere else? We don't need fancy. Clean and well kept is a must though.

ETA: Bonus points if we could do an 8 night booking. WH books in week long chunks, meaning we'd have to split stay OR pay for 2 weeks.

Not all of WH books that way. You are dealing with a particular property or company. Try looking on vrbo and homeaway and you'll find lots of owners who will to rent you any number of days you want. We've stayed there and in many other places for 9, 10, 12, 18 etc days and never had a problem finding a rental. There are a few that only rent by the week, Sat to Sat but the majority will rent for any length and any day. Go to windsorhillsrent.com and put in an inquiry and you'll get lots of replies. Try to be as specific as possible about what you're looking for.
You'll probably get twin beds in one room if you're looking for a 3 br place. There's also Crestwynd Bay which is next to WH, Encantada is in the general area. Indian Creek has some 4 bedroom pool homes but no community pool. Emerald Island has 3 and 4 bedroom townhouses and Windsor Palms has similar to WH. You can find these all on vrbo and homeaway.

I don't need three bedROOMS per se. Just three beds. Three bedrooms would be nice too.

windsorhillsrent (or hillrents i forget) -- you can plug in a request and get quotes -- some really good deals on 2 bedroom (with a sofa bed in the living room, or two beds in one room).

Crestwyn Bay is right by WH, is a town home place (so out for me) but has some great deals.

You may also want to check out Emerald Island Resort. Its in the same area as Windsor Hills and has both homes and townhouses. You can search the resort on VRBO or Homeaway.

You can also check out Oakwater Resort on vrbo or homeaway. Overall, it's a smaller resort with a nice pool, clubhouse, exercise room, tennis courts, playground. Mostly 3 BR units.I think it's as close to WDW as WH.

Dont be afraid to offer something lower than posted rate. Many owners will comply, especially when it comes to cleaning fees.

I've never paid list prices. Negotiate. If the owner won't budge, find another. There are hundreds.

Check Regal Palms Resort. Their prices were slightly less than WH. Check out condos rented by Simon. (Google regal palms condo rentals Simon). He has a two and three bedroom and the rates are good as well as his reviews.

I would rent from owners if possible. They will work with you on rates,days and payments no matter where you go. I have never been limited on my days

I agree with the previous posters, rent direct from owners and avoid property management companies.
