Better luck getting BWV during the week during F&W?

We currrently have 9 nights at SSR booked for 10/10 - 10/19. We'd like to get BWV for a few of those nights. We were planning on starting at SSR and ending up at BWV at the end of the vacation, but that includes a weekend. Would we be smarter to waitlist the Sunday through Thursday nights, rather than the weekend?

This is a first, going during F&W & I had no idea it would be so difficult to get BWV.

The Food and Wine Festival is VERY popular and BWV owners book at the 11 month window. At this point I'd wait list what you can and hope for the best. I stayed at SSR one year for Food and Wine and it wasn't bad at all, and I do love that resort. I waited too long to book my nights and when I did call there wasn't any "anything" for the nights I wanted except over at SSR.

Last year I booked at BWV right about this time. We were going for a week and had our choice of times. I picked the first week, but now know better that mid October would be better because it isn't so bloody hot.

I would waitlist it for the time period that you want. Maybe even two waitlists. There's still a long time between then and now. Anything can happen.

You're beginning your vacation in the middle of the Columbus Day Holiday weekend. Many schools have Columbus Day (10/11/100) off so Sunday, 10/10 will be especially difficult to get.

My advice is to waitlist for the latter part of your vacation (which you said you prefer, anyway). Good luck!
