We had such a great trip!
Dapper day crowds were busy on the Sunday but we utilized our early entry everyday. Getting the 6 am wake up calls were tough a few days, but we were able to ride RSR twice in a row, then get fast passes for later.
Highlights : dining water side at Blue Bayou, then excellent spot for the Fantasmic show. Well worth the cost for the package!
Meeting Anna, Elsa, and Olaf for DD was a big highlight! Princess lunch at Ariel's Grotto, and Surf's up were both good as well.
Loved riding RSR at night, that was a first. DD loved being at the Freeze the Night party, she felt grown up I think.
Loved the food options for allergies. We got to enjoy food that is usually off limits at home, like hot dogs, lots of desserts, etc. Disney is great with food allergies.
Only negatives were the weather was a bit cooler and we had some rain, and crowds were the highest we have seen due to dapper days. This was our third trip from Canada and we will definitely be back! We stayed at Paradise Pier and for the dapper day rate, it couldn't be beat. We were celebrating my sisters 25 year anniversary of her transplant and told them upon checkin. Right away she got a button, 3 disney balloons, and autographed princess pics. The next day while we were out they set out 8 rice Krispy treats, with pitchers of milk. It made my sisters day! What great customer service. One night we were walking and a cast member saw her happily ever after button, gave us all FP to any ride except RSR. There were 8 of us so that was great! Another day just DH, DD and I also got FP from a cast member out of nowhere! Lots of magic this trip!
Because this was a family celebration trip we splurged a lot. But we realized we can fit in trips every year if we do it budget wise. So next trip no blue bayou, no character meals, but I think it will be just as magical! Just walking through the GC entrance into CA near the redwood challenge area relaxes me, as my DH put it, it's our happy place!
Oh yeah, only real negative. I did space mountain and hated it. Never again lol! DH and DD both have autism, when they saw the picture they said how happy I looked. Let's just say reading facial expressions is not their strong suit. I was terrified!
