Me-38, DH took me to DW for my 1st time on our honeymoon. Been back 5 times since in 12 years. Absolutely love Disney World!
DH-42, He had been several times before we got married.
DD-10, Is missing owl pellet disection day in school for the trip. (Yuk!) This is her 4th trip to DW.
DS-5, This is his 3rd trip to DW, but 1st time flying.

Well, we make it to the airport w/out getting lost and in plenty of time. We get through security o.k. They don't like it that I request my film to be hand checked, but they can just get over it, I'm not taking any chances! I was nervous about security b/c of all the horror stories, but the only problem we had was being rushed through and I was worried about forgetting something. Then we head to our SW gate. Here comes the next worry. I had debated about going w/ SW due to the lack of assigned seating, but the I just couldn't ignore the cost difference. There were a few people at our gate and I even went and confirmed where the "A" line was w/ another gate attendant. We parked ourselves and bags down in line. DH took the kids to get a drink and look around. (we still had plenty of time before boarding.) I stayed and held my ground and dared anyone to try to get in front of me. DH & the kids came back and I went to get a drink. I warned DH to guard our space w/ his life!! When I came back, the kids had made friends w/ the kids in line behind them and were playing nicely. It was getting time to board and everyone was getting excited! I was then getting worried about getting our seats together! I was feeling fairly confident b/c we were near the front of the A line and I didn't see many pre-boarders, but I just expected to see a slew of families w/ small kids come and get in the pre-board line. Well, that never happened and we got 2 rows across from each other, they were closer to the back, but we didn't have a problem w/ that. We also were able to get the window and middle seat. Our flight was very nice, the FA were nice and the kids loved it. We didn't end up w/ any strange people sitting next to us. (Always a bonus!) We landed in Orlando right on time.

We stopped for a bathroom break and then headed for the tram to the terminal. Of course the kids liked that, it's kind of like getting you warmed up for Disney! Our luggage was ready and waiting for us and we went to look for the Thrifty shuttle. We waited a few minutes and were getting worried b/c it wasn't coming, but it finally did. I know we didn't wait more than 5 minutes, but it seemed like forever! The shuttle came, got our bags and took us right to Thrifty. We got in line there (actually only 1 person in front of us), got our car and were on our way. We did talk to some timeshare people there and ended up w/ great directions from the airport to Westgate Vacation Villas. We told them we owned there so they didn't hassle us w/ the sales pitch. We hadn't flown to Orlando since 1994, so the directions came in handy! It was so nice to get to Florida so quickly and not be riding in a car for 12 hours!

Check-in wasn't until 3:00 or 4:00, but we stop by anyway and pre-registered. Didn't have much of a wait at Westgate either. It was around 1:00 so we went to get some lunch. We went to a Chic-Fil-A on 192 and ate and let the kids play on the playground. Then we called and our room still wasn't ready, (it was still early), so we headed to Wal-Mart. We got a few things there for breakfast, lunch and snacks and then went back to Westgate. Our until was ready then and went in and unpacked. We had ended up w/ a 1 bedroom due to it being around Thanksgiving. It was still plenty of room for us, the kids slept on the pull-out sofa and there were still 2 baths and 2 tvs. It was a nice unit, everything seemed to be working in this one. There was a pool just across the parking lot and down one unit from us. I took the kids and we went swimming that night. It was a bit cool after you got out, but not bad at all. We called everyone at home to let them know we were swimming while they were having 20-30 degree temps. :sunny:

We finished unpacking and then headed out to dinner. I had been wanting to go to Chili's b/c we don't have one here. So we went to the one on 192 and didn't have to wait long at all. The food was good and service was o.k. We headed back to the condo and tried to get the kids to bed and got ready for the next day----Finally making it to the parks! :cool1:
