Day 5 (10/14):

Went to Epcot & had PS for PSB at 10:20. We were seated right on time (only me, DH, Emilie and Carrie (my sister). We LOVED this breakfast. The food was really good & they were generous with refills to the skillet & drinks. But the best part were the princesses! Aurora, Mulan, Belle, Mary Poppins & Jasmine were there! DD was dressed as Jasmine and was in awe of her! We got some really great pictures (I'll post when I can figure out how). Each princess asked questions and chit chatted with Emilie as they were signing her book and took several pics.

We went through Epcot for the rest of the day and we all had a GREAT time. DH and I did Mission Space, which was so realistic. We went around the World Showcase & saw lots of characters, as the kids did the kidcot masks. We saw the same Mary Poppins & Jasmine as PSB in their respective countries, and both remembered Emilie, which was impressive to me & made her feel so important!

F&W Festival was a nice touch, but maybe not for us. DH and I are very plain eaters. We don't go out of our comfort zone very often, so we only got a few things. We had the quesidilla & watermelon juice in Mexico (loved the quesidilla, not too fond of the watermelon juice), cannoli in Italy (very good), and cheese soup in Canada (very, very good!).

Day 6 (10/15) - our last day in Disney
We left OKW & stored our luggage at 10am. We went back to AK to try again, since we were rained out on Monday. Wouldn't you know that on the bus ride there, it started raining AGAIN! We went directly into the Rainforest Cafe & had lunch. Once we emerged from there, it had stopped raining, and actually turned into a nice day. We saw our favorite shows, the Festival of the Lion King, and Tarzan Rocks. We also saw where they are building Expidition Everest (can't wait to ride it!). We went on Kali River Rapids, which was Emilie's first rapids ride & she LOVED it. She especially loved that her daddy & Aunt Carrie got SOAKED!

We went to DTD for some last minute souvenier shopping, and got back to OKW in time for our mini-bus to pick us up & take us to the Comfort Suites to stay for a couple days & enjoy Sea World.

All in all, a wonderful trip. I think it will be a while before we take a big family trip again, but DH & I are already planning our 2005 trip back to WDW!!

Thanks for anyone who has read my trip reports. I'd appreciate any feedback, or any questions.

Thanks for taking the time to share with us. Reading trip reports always gets me psyched to go back :hyper: I'm glad you had a good time!

Thanks for posting - glad you had a nice trip!!!

We tried MNSSHP for the first time last year, and we had a great time too!!! My daughter loved trick or treating at Disney!! This year, we decided to go back for MVMCP - we love Christmas at Disney!!!

How was the Comfort Suites? Is it very close to SeaWorld? I am thinking about taking my daughter next summer to do the Dolphin Swim, and we were looking for a hotel near Sea World!

Thanks!

The Comfort Suites was ok. Wasn't what I expected a "suite" to look like. Not very big rooms, had a couch & coffee table area, then a 1/2 wall then 2 queen size beds. Had a small fridge under a shelf that the microwave sat on.

I think we would probably shop around if we did it again. We did get the room cheap for $60/night, but we might have been able to find something a little better. It was literally 5 minutes away from Sea World. There was a hotel shuttle that took us to Sea World, but it only made one trip there in the morning, and one trip back at night.

I saw there is a Radisson or Renaissance Hotel right next to Sea World that you can walk to the park, we might look into that next time. We definitely loved Sea World, and will go there probably every other year (Disney every year!)

Have a great trip!

Great report ~ Thanx for sharing.

Thanks for your report, Kim ! I'm trying to decide what week for my family next October - would you go during the week you did again? - how did you feel the crowds were over Columbus Day weekend? My choices are WDW the very first week of Oct and move over to USF for the holiday weekend, or arrive WDW the friday before CD weekend for the week and then to USF on the following Friday. I'm really looking forward to bringing the grandkids to MNSSHP !!:smooth:

how did you feel the crowds were over Columbus Day weekend?

We arrived the Sunday of CD weekend & went to MK, which was PACKED!! Literally hard to walk through the crowds. We got some fast passes & did a few rides, but didn't stress about seeing a lot, since we knew we were going to MNSSHP on Tuesday night.

On the actual holiday (Monday) we went to AK, which didn't seem too bad, crowd-wise. Although the weather wasn't very nice & we ended up leaving by lunchtime.

If you can avoid the holiday weekend, I would. If you can't avoid it, then just go and expect the crowds & know how to work around them!

You will enjoy MNSSHP!!! We're planning on going in December 2005, but the following year is probably gonna be in October again to do MNSSHP!!

Kim - I just printed out your trip report to read at lunchtime. I nkow I'll enjoy reading it. Thanks so much for posting. I just love reading trip reports!!!
