Day 3 (10/12):
My family & Candi (my younger sis)'s family went to Typhoon Lagoon. Mom & Carrie (older sis) went to Epcot to enjoy the F&W Festival.
Typhoon Lagoon was great. I had never been there. Kitchakiddie Creek was just the ride speed for the kids & a great warm up for the day. After an hour or so, we moved on to the family tube ride & then an individual tube ride that all the kids ventured on (except the baby, of course).
We went back to the resort & got ready for MNSSHP. Left OKW by 4:30, arrived in MK by 5 & went straight to Pecos Bills for dinner. The place was EMPTY. We had a great dinner & then headed over to Tommorowland with all of the other MNSSHP'ers.
My one regret with the MNSSHP was that I wasn't more prepared. I was definitely prepared for every other aspect of the trip (thanks to my friends at the DIS), but I didn't put out a big effort in planning out the MNSSHP. Oh well, next time!
We went to Toon Town 1st (along with most everyone else, I think), but found Alice's party along the trail before a big crowd. We had a great time there, and had some laughs with Alice & friends (especially the cards!). We skipped the first parade (per advise from the DIS) and caught the fireworks by sitting out front of the ice cream place by Dumbo. Great spot. After that, we went to find a spot for the 10pm parade. We had a great one, until it started raining. Then we hid in a store for a while. The voice over the P.A. kept saying the parade was temporarily delayed due to weather & the very nice CM in the store stated that she thought they would have immediately cancelled if they didn't think it would still go on. So Candi's family grew impatient & left, but after sweeping the water off of Main St. the parade came on around 10:45pm. Poor Em couldn't make it, she was out like a light. Cruella Devil was quite upset that Em was sleeping & asked DH to wake her up b/c she'd be sorry she missed her (Cruella)!! Very funny!! Jake woke up as soon as the parade started & was very excited. IMO, it's not one of Disney's best parades, and it seemed very short, but I'm glad we saw it. After the parade, we went into the Hall of Presidents to get our picture taken. Probably a bad idea, considering the rain & Em was passed out cold! Oh well, we got it anyway.
Day 4 (10/13):
We all went to MGM together. First ride: ToT!!! SO GREAT!! Then we rode RnRC, another great one. I took my mom on it, and she didn't enjoy it very much. I guess it's just not for everyone!! We love all the MGM shows & the kids had a BLAST at Playhouse Disney. We ate at Pizza Planet for lunch, which was good pizza, but doesn't offer much else (duh, look at the name!!) We had a 6:20 PS for the 50's Prime Time Cafe for dinner, were seated at 7. We all enjoyed our meal, but the servers weren't really into it. Maybe it was just a long day for them! We missed Fantasmic (maybe next time I'll get to see it, one of these days!) We took the boat over to the Boardwalk & walked around.
