Better day to go to IOA May 7-9???

My sister and I will be in Orlando May 6 (early evening) until May 11. We are going to go to IOA but which day would be better? Saturday May 7, Sunday May 8, or Monday May 9? We want to go do the Harry Potter stuff early or late in the day doesn't matter as long as we see it. Thanks for your help!

Sunday is probably going to be your best bet.

Sundays are usually lighter crowd wise than Saturdays...especially for WWoHP.

We will also be here during this time frame and I was curious--if everyone says locals go to the parks on the weekend...how come Sunday is the best day? I have seen Sundays suggested a lot for both Universal parks but warned against it for BGT and SW..TIA

I know, it doesn't make a whole ton of sense to me either.

However, I see report after report on here of people who have gone on a Sunday and said how pleasantly surprised they were with light crowds. I have also been on a number of Sundays and with the possible exception of major holiday weekends, it really does appear less crowded then Saturday and even Monday. It is supposedly based on Sunday being a popular day to travel for the out-of-towners, who I assume greatly outnumber the locals.

All that said, YMMV.

I don't think Sunday would be a great idea, as that is Mother's Day. We are going on Monday the 9th ---I did have us going on the 8th, but when I saw it was Mother's Day, I thought that would make it more crowded than normal. Just a thought.

Sundays seem to be the best day as that seems to be the day that people are leaving to go home.

In May, I would try to avoid Fridays as there are many school groups.

I don't think Mother's Day impacts crowds much at all. Care to make it interesting?
