better banger for your buck?

I'm debating between Rose & crown and Raglan Road for our upcoming trip. This is a special meal for my boyfriend, and regardless of which we go to, he'll get bangers..


That being said, which place has a better banger?

I haven't eaten at Raglan Road but have had the Bangers and Mash at Rose and Crown which were excellent.

Have to say the food is better at Raglan Road...but it does get loud in there....esp for dinner....

Can't compare for you because we've only been to R&C but I can tell you that my British husband loves the bangers & mash there. The waitress (who'd he been joking with all evening because they were both from Yorkshire) asked him if he'd licked the plate.

I am headed to Raglan Road next week, so I don't have first hand experience there yet. But for a special evening with your boyfriend, there is nothing better than enjoying your bangers with a pint while watching Illuminations at the Rose & Crown.

We ate at Ragland Road on Aug. 22nd and had the bangers and mash, it was great!
Enjoyed the band playing and had a few pints
Also had the bread pudding with the vanilla sauce, was to die for!!

I've had the bangers and mashed at both places and enjoyed each of them very much (R&C a tiny bit more). Both offer great choices. The appetizers at Raglan Rd. are excellent and much better. The entertainment at Raglan is also superior. But it's hard to resist the Scotch tasting flight and Illuminations on the outside deck at R&C.

The best choice, go to both ( I will on my next trip next month).

We ate at both in August and they were great, I think that the food is better at Raglan Road, but you should look at which restaurant fits your schedule better.

I havent eaten at Raglan road but we ate at R+C and 2 British members of my party had the bangers and loved them!
