We are set up to come in on sunday 6/11 for 10 days. But we were wondering if it might be better to come in saturday night? Are choices better for the spots on saturday or sunday when maybe people start to leave for home? This is in the partial hook-up sites too (1500/2000) I don't know if they have a lot of one night campers there on saturday nights. Any idea which days or the most popular for campers coming in and out? Thanks!

My opinion is that there are a lot of local weekend campers. Monday or Tuesday are good days to come in.

You really don't have a lot of leaway when it comes to sites, anyway. The sites are assigned. If you can't fit into your site, you can call from a courtesy phone to change to a better one that is empty, but that's about it. If your reservation states you are coming in on Sunday, coming in on Saturday night isn't really an option, either. Weekends are pretty busy at FW, so the probability of catching an empty site by showing up early is remote. If you do decide to come Saturday night, better call pretty soon to see if you can change your reservation.

Sunday would be a much better day than Saturday. There are a lot of people that leave on Saturday but there are more than enough of us locals to grab up the one night stay. I think the Campground is most empty on Sunday and Monday nights.
