Sounds like you had a fun and tasty weekend! Those are the best kind. Great job making a plan for the week. You are going to be very busy, so its good you did that beforehand. Hope you have a few moments now and then this week to relax or at least take a deep breath! Keep up the good work, you go girl!:woohoo: .
 
awww, you lumped me in with the professional runners. :love: You're my new best friend. Good job on wanting to run. It's hard, and I started probably SLOWER than anyone. I did the couch-to-5k program. If you'd like to see it I can send you a link. And...YEAH...get a better sports bra if that's an issue. Some of us don't have that problem. :rolleyes1 .

CONGRATS on the HUGE, MONSTROUS loss, girlie! :woohoo: You really ROCKED it this week!! Keep up the awesome work. You're also doing REALLY well with your food choices. :thumbsup2 As Amy said, you ARE an inspiration and a wonderful source of support to a lot of us. I'm so glad you're here. :hug:

Thank you so much for the kind words. You all have inspired me so much that coming from you it is twice as meaningful.

Thanks for the offer on the C25K. I have seen it. It is probably something I will pursue in the future. Based on how my right knee and back are feeling today, I need to get rid of some of the extra baggage before I try running again.

If anyone has any recs for a sports bra, let me know. I am 40DDD. Ugh. It is also the LAST place I lose weight. Sorry if that is too much info.

Today I almost got up to walk the puppy. I overslept, so I only walked him for 1 mile. We were crazy busy at work. I didn't get to eat until 230pm. It looks like everyday this week will be like that. I did go to the Y. I did my usual 30 minutes. It wasn't too hard today, but I am feeling fatigued and didn't want to push things with the knee. Came home, quick shower, made dinner, stripped the guest room bed, cleaned the guest room, started laundry, ate dinner, and then walked the dog for 2.5 miles. I ewven passed a woman who was about 1/4 mile ahead of me. Of course, she didn't know it was a race.

Food choices were ok. I could have done better with my snack, but I certainly had the points for the baked lays. I still have 3 daily points and 7 activity points left. I may indulge in a scoop of sorbet. I am not really hungry right now. At the same time, I don't want to go into starvation mode either. I will see how I feel at 9pm.

I am so glad that tomorrow is a rest day. I will walk the dog 2 miles in the AM. Work. Pickup munchkin and grab some groceries. Make dinner, and hang out with DM. Another 2 mile walk with Klinker. Who knew that I would consider walking 4 miles in a day a rest day?

Okay, I will get to as many journals as I can, but I am planning an early night. I am thinking of all of you as I plod through my week.

Ok, I am SO far away from that sports bra issue, I feel like I've failed at some point. :laughing: I'll PM ya, so you'll get my joke.

I tell ya, you put in some SERIOUS miles, lady! I need to get myself a dog to ensure I put in the miles.

Honestly, you're doing great....and you might want to consider shorter *gasp* walks on your rest days. I'm afraid you might be doing too much on a daily basis. Your body needs recovery time too. :thumbsup2

Take care, and see if you can squeeze in something in the am to eat. Believe me, I know how hard it is when work is busy. :sad2:

i struggle to find a suitable sports bra but i make sure i wear lycra tight fitted t-shirt with a bust support panel in plus the best fitting bra i can find - then everythings squashed in & cant move ;)

loved the comment about doing laundry naked :lmao:

Tracey and Kim, thanks for coming by. I may try your idea Tracey. In high School, I would wear a sports bra, then wrap myself with ace bandages. I would prefer not to do that. I will never understand why women would want to enlarge their breasts.

Ok, onto today. I did wake up on time for once, so Klinker got his full 2 miles. Work was crazy busy, but the sandwich worked well. I was able to scarf that down in the 10 minutes we had when a patient was running late/ DM called, and she wants to go to Mongolian BBQ, so I don't have to cook. I am just vegging out right now. I did bake some blueberry muffins for DM and DD breakfast tomorrow. All that is left is to get Kate ready for camp, and walk the puppy.

Kim, I will think about what you said. The dog just gets crazy without his walks. I may have dh walk him tonight.

Ok, off to fold more of that evil laundry.

Ok, I had an interesting time today. We were really busy again today. Fortunately, we had a cancellation, so the doc bought us lunch. I ate way too much hummus and pita.:confused3 When, I didn't pay for it, it doesn't count right? JK.

I went to the Y after work. First the rant, they are closing for yearly maintainance from Thurs evening-Tues morning. Ok, I know it needs to be done, but it really wrecks my plan. Second, the astonishing. I did 2 weight circuits. Then I got on EE. I put up 60 minutes to see what I could do. I was committed to doing 30. I did all 60 for a cal burn of 938. Yes, I know those machines can be way off, so I put in 25#less than my actual weight. Third, the unbelievable. The guy on the machine next to me asked me to have coffee. My response, "Really, do you think Laura and Emily would approve?" His daughter was in my daughter's class last year, and I know his wife. Come on buddy, if you are going to cheat on your wife by picking up women at the gym, at least go to a gym NOT in your neighborhood.:sad2:

I have cupcakes in the oven for camp on Friday. (I'll frost them tomorrow) I have everything around for tomorrow. No walk for the puppy tonight. It is raining. I plan to kick back and catch up with some journals tonight.

Plan for tomorrow.
1.) See what the weather is in the AM, then walk Klinker. Only if it is not raining.
2.)Another crazy day at work. We haven't been this busy since last Nov.
3.) Hit the Y for 30 min of EE, backwards.
4.) Make salad and spaghetti.
5.) Walk dog.
6.)Frost cupcakes.
7.)Collapse.

Oh man, I should have joined the Y instead of Curves, the offers are better over there! All I get is little old ladies who compare notes on their grandkids! What a dufus that guy is, some scumbags are so predictable. GREAT JOB on the EE. If I had to 60 minutes on that it would probably quite literally kill me. You are doing great, just keep it up. Pita and hummus is not a bad splurge. And if its free, then the points do not count for sure! Keep up the good work, you amaze me!

Hi guys,

Kim, at the time I was so shocked that I locked up the machine. I am not known for my grace. Now, I am kinda geeked about it and really creeped out by it.
Boy, today really did me in. I got up to face the sprinkler gauntlet this morning. Thursdays is when EVERY sprinkler in the neighborhood is on. Work was insane. No break. I didn't even have time to pee. We ended up working 1.5 hours OT. I hadn't eaten, and everything I brought with me was not able to eat in the car. Well, stupidly, I went to the Y anyway. I did 30 min on the EE in reverse. I was dogging it towards the end. When I got off, I was kinda dizzy. I will pick up some pria bars to keep in my car, so this doesn't happen again. Came home and ate some chips and leftover grilled portabellas. dh called to say he was working late. Then I made dinner. Needed to walk the dog again. I got Kate to bed, and made lunches. Now I need to frost the cupcakes before I go to bed. Sorry, I won't make it to journals tonight.

Tomorrow, I will walk puppy, work (yes, we are double booked again tomorrow.), make dinner, walk puppy, and journal. WI is Sat morning. Oh, I joined the BL challenge as well.

Oy, I am not even making sense anymore.

Beth you just amaze me with how well you do given your stressful and busy life! You really motivate me to keep on trucking! Love your sprinkler dodging, that must burn more calories than the average walk! I hope you have a nice, quiet weekend and some time to relax and enjoy yourself! Congratulations on your accomplishments!!

Hi guys,

Well, today was another long day, but guess what!?! I'M ON VACATION!!!!:cool1: I job share with another RN. She wanted this week off, so I said I would work her shifts, if she would work mine next week. This way I can reestablish Kate into her school routine. WooHoo!!

I was exhausted this AM, so puppy only got a 1 mile walk. I worked. When I got home, I called DH to say I was not cooking tonight. We ended up at a Coney Island. I had a greek salad with chicken. Not too bad. At least I did not respond to the call of the onion rings. I walked Klinker for another 2.5 miles. The evening walk was more of a stroll. I am tired, and my backside is sore.

As for this weekend, we may hit the state fair, Greenfield Village, or Arts/Beats &Eats. Any of htem could be fun but a food disaster. I am also planning a few long walks with DD and puppy. Somewhere in here I need to do more coed naked laundry and clean the house. Klinker also needs a bath.

WI is tomorrow. Tomorrow marks my 16th week at WW. I have really been pushing it this week, and my food has been ok. I am hoping for a loss, but I feel bloated. TOM may be approaching. (Since the miscarriage TOM is really irregular. I refuse to mess with my hormones any further, so I deal with TOM's sneak attacks.) We'll see.

I'm off to bed.

Man, I'm personally glad you're on vacation this week. Just reading about all you're squeezing into your day was making me feel quite inadequate. :rolleyes: (just kidding - sort of). You just don't stop!! Definitely get some kind of power bars to keep in your car or your gym bag so that you don't do all of that working out on an empty stomach.

You know it isn't a good weighin when the receptionist says, "oh dear." I am up 2.1 pounds this week, and I don't think I can blame TOM either. I am trying to take this as a learning experience, and not get discouraged. In my first post, I mentioned I am an all- or- nothing kind of person. I need to stick to my plan. I know that some of the weight is muscle, but I don't think that accounts for all of it. I also know that I can't have a huge loss every week, but I don't want major gains either.

Here are my observations about the last week. I have increased my workouts dramatically over the last 2 weeks. I stayed within my daily points +32 flex points, but I didn't eat my activity points. Since we were so busy at work, I had to skip lunches. I went for long periods of time between meals. I never stopped all week long, and I never got more that 5-6 hours of sleep. I did drink plenty of water.

So, this week, I am going to get at least 7 hours of sleep a night. I will continue to workout, but I am going to mix up the machines a bit. It isn't all about the calorie burn. I also bought a jump rope. I will eat any activity points I earned when that amount is over 4 a day.(If I earn 7. I'll eat 3. That has`worked before.) No skipping meals. This may be difficult on the busy work weeks, but I will have to talk to the doc and insist on a lunch, even if that means OT. If anyone else has any ideas, let me know.



Ok, today I have been positively lazy. After WW, I went grocery shopping. I came home to have lunch. DD and DH went to the game. Only 2 tix available. I took a nap. More laundry. DH is going out with friends tonight, so Kate and I will take the puppy for his 2.5 mile walk, and stop at the TCBY along the way. I have the points available for a small cone. Kate had said she wanted to do a dance party tonight, so we'll do that before I put her to bed. I will journal once she is in bed.

So there's the plan.
