Beth's WW Journey. (Comments Welcome)

Hi Beth, hope the sun stays out for you. Excellent job getting your walking in. And flex points are a lifesaver when you are out of points but not hours in the day! Keep up your hard work, its paying off!

Hey Beth!
Bummer about the Y, but nice recovery by doing it at home!!! That's dedication!!

Keep up the good work girl!!

ree

Hi All,

It has been a busy day. I had to take DD to work with me. I worked until noon, then we went to the dentist. I had four fillings replaced, and we found out DD "only" needs a root canal. Then we had lunch. My mouth was completely numb. I ended up tearing up my cheek. DD got a cute haircut. We came home, I started laundry, made dinner. I then put the kid to bed and walked the dog.

The plan for tomorrow.
1.) Get up at 530 to walk the dog.
2.) Take DD to Y camp, and I will do strength training and evil elliptical.
3.) Grocery shop. I need more healthy food in the house.
4.) Finish laundry.
5.)Take DD to dance studio for shoe fitting. $$$
6.) Have dinner with friends.
7.) Walk the dog.
8.) Hit journals.

Ok, I am off to bed. 530 comes awfully early.

TTFN,
Beth

Hey Beth. Great job changing gears when there was trouble at the Y. :thumbsup2

What day of the week do you weigh in?

Keep up the AWESOME work, girl. :woohoo:

Hi Kim,

I WI on Saturdays. I am really hoping for a loss this week. We'll see.

When 530 rolled around, we were in the middle of a thunderstorm. Sorry puppy, I'm sleeping in.:thumbsup2 I did go to the Y. I did 3 weight circuits. I planned on 30 minutes on the EE (Evil Elliptical). I got on, started moving, and the next thing I know it is beeping at the 1 minute left point. Huh? Usually, I am counting down the seconds. I decided to do an extra 10 minutes. Then I added another 10 minutes. 50 minutes on the EE!!!!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

My teeth don't hurt, but my jaw does. I think it is related to having my mouth open for an hour. One would think that wouldn't phase me, as I always seem to be talking.

I need to go pick up DD, so we can get her shoes. I will jump on journals when I get back from walking the dog tonight.

Have a good one,
Beth

Hi Beth, no wonder your jaw hurts! You are doing great with your exercise, 50 minutes on the eliptical (I am VERY impressed) is great!:cool1: I am betting you will have some good news at weigh in this Saturday. Keep up your hard work, you are really an inspiration to me!

Glad dd got a cute haircut, I took my own dd last Friday, I guess its just that time of year for new haircuts, clothes and shoes (for the kids, not the moms of course ;) )!

Great job on your workouts, Beth!:cheer2: I did an elliptical workout once a few years ago and was sore for days. It's a great workout!:thumbsup2
Sending :wizard: :wizard: for your weigh-in on Saturday.

Have a great weekend!

Hi Tracy and Ree.

Well, the zen state on the EE was not achieved today. The elliptical remains evil. Oh well. I walked the dog for 2 miles this am. Then I did 30 minutes on the elliptical and 30 minutes on the recumbant bike. I came home and had lunch. After showering, I looked at the vacuum, and decided to take a nap. Ahh, bliss. Then I got a haircut. DD's is .cuter.:cutie:

After WW, DD and I are meeting my mom for lunch. Kate is spending the night with her, so we can go to dinner and a movie. I am taking a rest day from exercise. I will just walk the dog. Sunday I will do weight circuits and cardio. I also need to do some cleaning, and make some dishes for dinners in the coming week. I work fulltime next week.

Wish me luck at WI.
Beth

Hi Beth

Have a great time at lunch and dnner and movie tomorrow!!

Hey girl....here's some PD for your weigh in, although I'm not sure you need it. :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

You are the QUEEN of the EE!! :woohoo: I have never in my life gone remotely close to 50 minutes on that horrible, horrible thing. :headache:

Have a GREAT date night and enjoy the quiet! :cloud9:

Hello Beth,

Thanks for stopping by my journal. I have been mia while trying to get to the first day of college for DS. He is going to Mich Tech. It is a 10 hour drive for us.

I went back and read your entire journal. I am sending lots of good thoughts and compassion. DS is struggling a bit with the going off to school and such, so there is saddness along with the excitement. We shall overcome!

I read that you went to Birch Run. We were there not too long ago, but ended spending most of our time at Frankenmueth. DD loves it there. DS found a cute jacket for GF. And it is great that you were able to get some non plus clothes. I know that feels great. I still am at the spot where the tops are issues, and well, I am sure we all know why. But it is nice not shopping in just the women's section.

I see you were without power the other day. We lost power yesterday while at work, and it was SO hot in there, I just thought I should get moving and sweat off a few pounds! Of course, the torrential rains aren't helping!

I really want to say welcome, and that I am adding you to my wish-for-a-great-WI prayer!

Take care, and enjoy the weekend! Have a great WI tomorrow!

Wendy

Hi Beth, hope weigh in was great! If not, its just a fluke, you have done so good this week and your exercise is just awesome. Why is it that dd's hair always looks cuter than the mom's? DD and I got our haircut last week, same time, same place, and as usual, her's looks great, I look like my grandmother!

Enjoy your dinner and movie! That is so nice your mom does that for you. And its good to take a day off from exercise, your body needs that. Good for you for making some dinner plans in advance of a hectic week. Its all about preplanning and you are doing well with that!

Thanks for stopping by everyone. Your pixie dust worked. I was down 3.6 pounds for a total of 34.2 pounds loss. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :thumbsup2 Hmm, the week that I exercised like crazy I lost 3.6. The week that I barely got off the couch, I lost 0.2. Correlation?:rolleyes1

Now ,I just need to keep the momentum going. I will keep my gym bag packed and in the car for after work.

Lunch was good. We went to OG. I had 1 bowl of Minestrone (2.5) and plain salad that I used my spritzers on. (1) Tonight we are going to Super bad and eating at a new restaurant, Kona Grille. I am off to check out the menu.

I probqably won't make it to journals until tomorrow.

TTFN and take care,
Beth

CONGRATULATIONS, 3.6 POUNDS IS A HUGE LOSS FOR ONE WEEK!:cool1:

Enjoy your weekend and your night out. You did great at Olive Garden btw.

Weigh to go, Beth!:cheer2: A 3.6 pound loss is awesome!!!! Keep up the good work!:cheer2:

Hope you're having a great weekend!

Beth,

Congrats on the loss!! 3.6 in a week is awesome!! You've got to be super proud of yourself...and yeah, kind of neat how the exercise factors in to everything isn't it?? ;)

Have a great week!

Beth - You go girl. Great loss so far. Keep up the good work. I am ready to get started and hope to catch up to you soon.

My online buddy DeAnna and I met on the WISH thread "Need help - MASSIVE amounts of weight to lose". Deanna's first and only posts I think have been to that thread. We have talked on the phone and have decided to set up a journal for us to keep up with each other. The journals forum does not get as much traffic as the WISH forum. We just wanted a cozy place to visit and encourage each other. I think we are in the right place and I'm glad you stopped by.

I hope your special night out wound up being on program. It is so hard to get something healthy at a restaurant to enjoy when there is so much unhealthy stuff I would rather have. Eating out is quite a challange for me right now, well just about any kind of eating is right now but I am ready to start making some positive changes.

Have a great week.

Brenda

 WOW Beth!!!!! You've been doing SOOOO awesome these past few weeks! :cool1: I'm REALLY super proud of you girl! That loss is just outstanding! What great positive reinforcement :). Keep that gym bag packed and keep doing what you're doing! YOU are definitely an inspiration on these boards!

And I'd really like to say "THANK YOU" :goodvibes for being so supportive and positive in my journal. I always enjoy seeing your posts on there! Thank you so much!

Hi Guys,

Thanks for stopping by. It is always nice to see friendly faces.

Dinner last night was AWESOME! I have a new favorite restaurant. We did appetizers of sushi. I have no idea what I was eating, Renee chose all the rolls. I then had sweet chili glazed chicken with rice. OMG!!! I only ate 3/4 cup of rice and 3/4 of the chicken. We then split 2 desserts. I only had 4 bites of key lime pie. I was very proud of myself. The movie was ehh. The guys really loved it. Renee and I thought it was amusing. I definately could have waited until it came out on cable. Overall, fantastic night out.

Today, I slept in until930. Ahh, bliss. I then walked Klinker for 2.5 miles. Then I went to the Y for 2 circuits of weights, 30 minutes on EE, and 30 minutes on the treaddie. Amy, Kim, and Scott inspired me to try to run. I managed 1/3 of a mile before going back to 3.8 mph. It wasnot a pretty sight.:scared: I definately need to invest in some new sports bras before trying that again.:jumping3: :jumping3: Came home to more laundry and cleaning. DM dropped Kate off, and we went to dinner at Brio. I had a salad.

All in all, a great weekend.

Plan for the week....

I work all week, so any time at the Y will be after work. UGH.

Monday: Get up early and walk the puppy. Y for cardio after work.
Tuesday: Walk the puppy. (DM is spending the night. She has a conference in town on Wed.)
Wednesday: Walk puppy. Weight circuits after work.
Thursday:Walk puppy. Y for cardio after work.
Friday: Walk puppy. Weight circuits or cardio after work.
Saturday: Long walk with puppy (4 miles) Weights and EE time at the Y.

I will get to journals as I can this week. It may be crazy busy. We'll see.

Have a great week.
Beth
