I hope these aren't too long...I tend to just write and I'm pretty much copying from my trip journal. :0)
Day 2 ~ 10/17

Guest appearances by Rachel and Valerie, friends of Andrea's.
Mickey woke me up this morning, which convinced me I was actually at Disney World! :0) Quickly threw on some clothes and trotted to the Pepper Market to get my morning dose of cold caffeine (also known as Diet Coke!). Then I wandered and took some pictures of the CSR grounds. It's really a beautiful resort. Other than not having a not bridge across Lago Dorado, I didn't find it that much larger than Caribbean Beach Resort. The main difference I saw I really loved...well, at least thought it was fair...whereas at CBR, the pool and the main building are together, so if you have to walk far to one, you have to walk far to the other, at CSR, the pool is across Lago Dorado, so if you were close to one, you walked to the other and vice versa...seemed to make it a little more equitable to me. Back to the room to pack up my costume for Not-So-Scary since I'm getting ready at Andrea's apartment. She picked me up and we were off to breakfast at 'Ohana!
Breakfast was really good...especially the potatoes! Yum!! I can't believe how pretty the Poly is! As soon as we were done eating I got pics with Chip, Dale and Mickey! Goofy was way busy, so we opted to not wait for him...never fear, we would definitely find him!! Then we were off to Disney's Animal Kingdom!
We decided to do Festival of the Lion King first thing, but we just missed the first show so we hung out at Camp Minnie Mickey until time to line up for the next show. Wonderful character interaction! Goofy, Rafiki, Daisy, Minnie, Mickey, Meeko (who tried to walk off with me!), and Suzy and Pearls mouse! Then it was time to line up! We were on the first row behind the special assistance seating in the elephant section! I just love FOTLK!! It's probably my favorite show on property!
After the show it was Kilimanjaro Safari ~ 45 minute wait, though we moved pretty well. We decided to just go rather than Fast Pass it so that we could stake out Andrea's favorite spot for Mickey's Jammin Jungle Parade before someone else found it! We went to Dinoland USA where we rode Dinosaur (why? that ride totally freaks me out!) and Primeval Whirl. Then we wandered a while and went to Andrea's favorite parade spot. (There's a bench sort of across from Tusker House...one of those that goes all around the tree. If you get the part facing the street, the CMs come by and ask you to sit on the back of it to keep your feet off the street...a guaranteed front row seat!! Only bad thing is you sit in the sun for a while, but it is so worth it!) We had Coke floats while we were waiting since we weren't hungry enough for a meal. The parade is really good! I enjoyed it a lot! Then it was back to Andrea's to get ready for the party!
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party was so much fun! Andrea was a lion in the suit our mom made her for a sorority thing. Rachel was a gypsy, Valerie was a sexy devil, and I was sort-of Jordan Cavanaugh in full ME mode (from "Crossing Jordan"). We did some tirck-or-treating, rode BTMRR and of course the Haunted Mansion. Then we went in search of food and got our picture made in the process. "Dinner" was at Pinocchio's and wasn't that bad. Then time to stake out our spots for the parade!
We had awesome seats ~ in the middle of the circle part of Main Street nearest the castle just before the parade turned and went towards Liberty Square! The Headless Horseman came straight at us on the biggest horse I've ever seen in my life! When we sat down we had a perfect view of the castle, so I got my camera out to take a picture only to discover that for some reason, if would turn on but none of the buttons would work! Grr!! So alas, no pics of the parade or the Headless Horseman! Oh well, I've got the memories of it! (Actually probably no pics at all on here since I'm probably not going to spend the extra "you've got pictures" money since I've got about 10 rolls!!) I took the bus back to CSR and Andrea and crew headed to the monorail to the TTC and their car.
Tomorrow ~ dolphins!!!!!!!!!!!! :0)
