Ok ~ this is the one part that wasn't in my journal, so I definitely need to write about it quickly...

Date ~ Sunday, October 20

Cast ~ Beth (31)
Special appearance by Andrea (26)

I woke up to Mickey's voice for the last time in probably at least a year. :0( Finished packing my stuff and headed over to store my bags with Bell Services ~ gotta love the express check out!! (If you leave a CC# when you check in, they put a bill on your door and if it's correct you don't have to do anything...the computer will automatically check you out at 11am...at least at CSR.) Then I went over to the bus stop to head over towards the Magic Kingdom and a transfer to the monorail to the Grand Floridian for breakfast at 1900 Park Fare.

Got there about as easily as I could...the MK bus came first and went over then hopped the resort monorail. I walked into the GF and just stopped. It is so beyond anything I've ever stayed in...I'm definitely a moderate type of girl! I was way early for my PS, so I wandered around the grounds for a little while. There are some awesome views of the castle and all, but I don't think I could ever be comfy staying there. Just my personal thing I
guess...

I decided to go ahead and check in for my PS at 9:30 even though it wasn't until 10. But they got me pretty much right in ~ I guess there weren't that many ressies for one or two people. Mary Poppins and Bert were in the waiting area sitting at a table where there were coloring supplies for children. They were really busy, so I decided to wait until it either cleared out or after I finished eating, whichever came first. Before I knew it, my
little buzzer went off and I was seated. I love the carousel theming of this restaurant! It's really cute. I got my juice, ordered my Diet Coke (I don't do coffee unless it's fancy stuff like a vanilla latte or a mocha...skim of course), and headed to the buffet. Round one I got French Toast, Bread Pudding with vanilla sauce, bacon, and Strawberry Soup! Yum!! I was still a little hungry and since I was planning to have this be breakfast and
lunch, I got a made to order ham and cheese omelet which was to die for!!

Walking around in the restaurant were Tigger, Pooh and Alice in Wonderland. I really wasn't sure how they would react to a single adult. I soon found out. My little table was close to the door where the characters come out after their breaks. I looked up and there were two orange and black paws hanging onto the door frame. Tigger's face soon appeared and he came bounding over and gave me an exuberant hug...just as if I was a child at a table with parents. It was great!! I asked him if he though we could find someone to take our picture, and he nodded and quickly tapped a server on the shoulder to do so. Then he bounced off to another table. Pooh came next and he was equally good. Then Alice came and was asking me how everything was. Pictures with all of them. It was way cool. On a side note, the pictures out front included Eeyore rather than Tigger, and a child at a close-by table asked Alice about it (since face characters can talk). In her perfect British accent, she said, "Well, he generally is here, but he wasn't feeling well this morning and Tigger offered to come along with Pooh so he wouldn't have to come alone," without a moment's hesitation. There were at least 5 birthdays being celebrated that morning. I remember reading or hearing somewhere that they only do birthdays every half hour, and at least on this day that was definitely not the case ~ I was only there about 45 minutes!! It was cute...they had little cupcakes with a candle in it. If a character was around, the character helped out in some way.

Then I took the monorail back to the MK and began my adventure to get to Downtown Disney for shopping and meeting my sister. I got off at the TTC, not realizing that they don't run a bus to Downtown Disney from there anymore. SO I hopped the first park bus that came and traveled to Disney's Animal Kingdom. Then I waited for the first resort bus that came and ended up going to Coronado Springs! Then I caught the bus to Downtown Disney!! Quite complicated!!

The rest of the day was shopping and hanging out waiting for Andrea to finish work. When she got off work, we met and walked over to her parking lot, then headed to CSR to collect my bags and head for the airport. The rest of the trip went without a hitch. I could have taken a later flight or stayed overnight with a $250 travel voucher from American Airlines, but I'd heard them offer another flight $300, so I decided to wait it out...and they had
enough volunteers as it was. So I got home, got my car, and slept in my bed.

The next day I went to drop off my film and pick up my dog (a Dalmatian mix named ~ what else ~ Disney!!) from the kennel and begin dreaming about what I want to do on my next trip...whenever that is!

Ok ~ that's it! I hope you've enjoyed this little trip report!!

I had breakfast at Crystal Palace solo and it was so much fun! The characters paid as much attention to me as they paid the littler kids and the servers were happy to take our photos together. It was a lot of fun.

I read all of your trip reports and enjoyed each one. I'm going to post a link to this installment on the adults and solos board so others can get some great solo travel information too :)

Thank you, so much, for posting this :)
