We slept in a bit today. Got to Epcot by 10:45 am. The park was pretty empty. We went over to Test Track and rode using the singles line. There was practically no wait and we even ended up in the same car! After that we didn't know what we felt like doing, so we ended up walking around World Showcase for awhile, snapping pictures and just relaxing. We were hungry, so we headed over to the China pavillion to eat at Lotus Blossom Cafe. We'd never tried it before. We split the Lotus Blossom combination (egg roll, rice, and sweet and sour chicken) and vegetable lo mein. ($11.66) The food was okay, definitely nothing special and definitely overpriced.

It was amazingly hot out, so as we were circling World Showcase we noticed a stand in Italy selling granitas and decided to stop there. I got a coffee one and my boyfriend had the lemon. ($5.66) They were soooo good and refreshing! We walked over to the American pavillion, slurping our drinks. The American Adventure was starting in 25 minutes, so we plopped ourselves down on a bench to finish our drinks. When we were done, we went inside and caught the tail end of American Vybe's performance. It was too bad we missed it, because they were quite good. We saw the show and enjoyed it.

Continuing our walk, we finished the circuit around the World Showcase. We stopped at Innoventions and did one of those free Xerox calendars. We then did some free IBM postcards. To see one, click on the link. http://www.ibm.com/Epcot/postcards/35EBAE
We were so hot and beat from the heat, that we decided to just call it a day. We caught the bus back to AKL. Before heading back to our room, my boyfriend got a pudding from the Mara ($2.01). We relaxed and watched TV until we decided to leave for Downtown Disney.

We had to wait 15-20 minutes for the bus. Our longest wait yet! The bus finally arrived and we got off at the West Side. We went to House of Blues and were seated immediately. We had a great meal at HOB and would definitely come back. Total cost was $38 with tip.

We had some time before we planned to head over to Pleasure Island, so we spent some time exploring the shops on the West Side and the Marketplace. Around 7:40 we went over to Pleasure Island. We hopped in line for the first Comedy Warehouse show. 20 minutes later, we were let in. The show was great!! Those people are so talented and funny. We immediately got back in line for the second show. My boyfriend enjoyed the second show more. I thought the first was better. We got drinks at Comedy Warehouse the second time. Rum and coke for my boyfriend, regular coke for me. $9. We noticed during the show, one of the performers was the same lady in the Who Wants to be a Millionaire:Play It preshow. Cool, I didn't know that!

After the show, we walked around Pleasure Island for awhile. We stopped into the Adventurer's Club, but weren't really in the mood for it, so we left. We are totally *not* party people, and mostly just enjoy the comedy club at PI. We were thinking of trying the jazz club, but decided against it. Grabbed a bottled water from Gourmet Pantry on the way to the bus ($2) and went back to AKL and to bed. Not a very exciting day.

Beth :D

Sounds like you had a great day. Thanks for posting. :)

Great reports. Giggled when you said you are not party people. When DH & I were there last year we tried club-hopping too, but found Comedy Warehouse was our cup of tea. Couldn't get into the Adventurer's Club--did like the Wildhorse Saloon, but heard that closed??..
