Another quick question. Does anyone have any experience with bestfares.com? They have better prices than the airlines. Thanks. Debby

I joined Bestfares a few years back because it seemed like they really had decent pricing. The unfortunate thing was that my travels got curtailed in a major way and the yearly cost of the subscription (I think it was $65 to be a member) wasn't justified in just dreaming to where I couldn't go. However, I still get their e-mails and dream anyway, I just can't get to the "members" area to see the real good deals.

I did call them a few times to get some ideas on pricing, etc., and there was always someone ready to help with pricing. There was never any pressure from the rep to purchase.

I realize this doesn't help too much, but did want to let you know that I thought their customer service was pretty decent!

bestfares.com isn't what it once was; as airfares become easier to search by other means (airline sites, orbitz deal detectors, travelocity farewatcher, etc.), the assistance bestfares offers is arguably no longer a good value.
