Best Western Stovalls Inn?

This will be my families first trip to Disney land. Having been to WDW over 15 times I am a bit excited. I do realize it is much smallere but, I have always wanted to see where it all started. I thought during the 50th anniversary celebration would be the best time to go! I have been researching all of the good neighbor hotels and was wondering if anyone could tell me about the Best Western Stovalls Inn. Seems to be the best price I have gotten so far. Also could we walk from this hotel to DL and CA? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Stovall's is an older motel that seems to be fine though nothing spectacular. I haven't stayed there myself but have read okay reviews.
In this map you can find it located about three quarters of an inch above the word "convention" , where the convention center is.

The walk to the parks would be about 9-12 minutes.

I stayed there the last time I went to Disneyland. I did not like it at all. I should state that I was with a high school band that was there for magic music days. There were no rooms available when we arrived. They then stuck over 100 high school kids in their lounge/bar for 2 hours while we waited for the rooms to be ready. When we did finally get our rooms, most were still very dirty and were covered in ants. There were ants everywhere in my room. Maybe it would be different with just a family and not over 100 teenagers, but I was not impressed with the way staff handled everything or with the rooms. I personally will not be staying there again.
