best western park place reviews

just wondering what everyone thinks of this one? we have a reservation for desert in a suite 2 rooms 4 beds and 1.5 bathrooms or we have one at the best western 1 room 2 beds and sofa couch with one bedroom.... they are both almost the same distance but best western is almost $350 less then deserts.... it will be 3 adults and 4 children (though ones newborn so doesnt need a bed) what would u guys do and why and feelings on best western park place????

It sounds to me like you're talking about a mini-suite at the BWPPI. I've stayed in one and loved it, but it's not a "real" suite--it's a large-ish room with two queen beds and a sitting area with a pullout couch and one (two? maybe? I can't remember) chairs. There is a half wall about waist high separating the bed area from the couch area.

It depends on the ages of the kids, but I honestly think you'd be pretty crowded. And, you may be over the legal occupancy of the room with 6 plus a newborn. And, I don't know about your family, but I'd think with that many people that a second toilet might just be worth $350.

That said, we were very happy with the BWPPI. I'm staying there again in January for the Tinkerbell Half Marathon. We found it to be clean and comfortable. Yes, the decor is a bit dated, but we aren't there for the decor. ;-P And it's SO CLOSE. I think it spoiled me for any other hotel, at least in terms of the walk.

I have stayed at both and like them both. The BWPPI is a bit nicer aesthetically and has a better continental breakfast but having the extra room at Desert Inn was really nice.

With that much of a price difference I would probably go with BWPPI but I'm cheap and don't spend much time at the hotel in the first place.

I would be concerned about the maximum occupancy at the BWPPI with 7 people in one room. I would think that would violate the fire code. Even though one is an infant and free (even on planes), they are still counted as a body. They could make you get two rooms once you get there. Happened to a friend of mine, but that was in San Diego.
Best to double check.

I agree with this post. It was perfect for our family of 5 but with a larger group it probably will be a bit crowded. I would definitely stay here again.

Thanks everyone i called the hotel and your.right 6 is the limit so i guess that made up our minds for us... Its kinda silly.since he will only.be about 2 weeks old but i understand rules are rules.... So everyone enjoys the desert inn
