We stayed at the Candy Cane Inn last month, and, with the continental breakfast, free parking, and a
AAA rate, it was a good value for the money. The motel itself is very comfy, the staff was super friendly and helpful, the room furnishings were a little worn but very clean, and even the standard room had a small refrigerator in it. The breakfast was more than enough to get us going in the morning, and although we only used the shuttle a couple of times, it was nice to have it as an option when we were really tired.
The location is great -- it's a nice, maybe 10 minute walk to the parks. It's also next door to a little market with a 7-11, I think, next to that, and across the street from a Subway, a pizza place, and some other little shops. Just 1/2 a block further is an IHOP, so lots of non-park dining options.
My only "complaint" is that our habit of returning to our room mid-day caused some timing trouble for the housekeeping staff. One day they were fine with just taking our towels and giving us clean ones, but another day the housekeeper didn't understand the "no service" request and did the full room cleaning process with us just sitting and watching
