Has anyone stayed at this hotel? Any input/feedback would be appreciated (especially the shuttle service, was it ok?). We're staying for 6 nights in October for our first trip to Universal Orlando. We decided to go this route instead of staying onsite at UO because of the cost... and I'm hoping we made the right choice!

I'm staying there in September, and we called for the ****tle schedule... Not great!! You should take I Ride for Sea World (one shuttle in the morning and 1 at night!!!!) As for Universal, you have 4 in the morning (first at 7h50 and them every hour or so) and at night (don't know the schedule), so it's a little better. But the guy told us a cab would cost us 8$, so if you miss it it's not gonna be too expensive. As for Disney, I think the roundtrip is something like 15$ each, and 36$ for a cab.

Thank you Lanie!

Would you mind posting your thoughts when you return (I'm sure you don't even want to think about being back from vacation right now) - but I would really appreciate any helpful hints or info you might have.

Thanks again and have a WONDERFUL trip!

Hi ,
We just got back from a 5 night stay at Movieland and this was our 2nd stay there. The Hotel is nice and our room was clean and they were great with keeping it clean everyday . The staff was nice . I was impressed cause my son overflowed the toliet and they were prompt in getting to our room and fixing the problem and cleaning it up. They have a laundry room and it was great as I ended up having to do a load befor we checked out . We did not use the shuttles as we rented a car and drove to and from the parks. They have a nice steak restaurant right in the hotel. They only problem we had is the cleaners they used didn't smell very good but it wasn't a problem we weren't in our room that long. if you have any other questions just PM me .

Hi
i stayed i this hotel in Oct 04 for 5 night, we used it as a base to get around I-drive and for this it was fine. The room was clean, air con ect worked- the windown didn't open but had a ok view over the pool. I would ask to stay on the pool side as people on the street side siad the noise could get loud from the road.
The pool was good and they provide towles, the reception was helful for travel info and there is a supervmarket 2 mins away( next to a KFC!)
a good basic htel.
enjoy your trip
Ruth

I'm Back!!!!

The hotel was ok, and the shuttle times were ok too, but it not really comparable to onsite Disney (which we did the second week). If you are not too picky for your schedule, the shuttle is ok, but book in advance. It was full for our 1 day so we had to take a cab to Universal & back (15$ for round trip). The shuttle to Disney only goes to the entrance of the park, so we could not take it since we were going to the All Stars Movies, but they charge 14$ by person.

Be careful for the taxi drivers; a couple tried to rip us off so inform yourself of the average rate for your destination. Don't be shy to ask if you have more questions, I'll gladly answer them. :earsboy: :wave2: :earsgirl:
