Best Western lake Buena Vista or Palomino

We had made reservations at the Palomino Suites which used to be called Homewood Suites - Lake Buena Vista. Then MouseSavers offered a special for Best Western Lake Buena Vista. Both are the same price and both offer a continental breakfast. The difference is that Palomini Suites gives you a living room and a kitchen and Best Western is just a room. But Best Western is on the Disney property and Palomino is on Palm Parkway over a mile away. Which would you recommend? Confused

Are you planning to use the hotel shuttle or drive?

TThe downtown disney hotel shuttle will run more often than the other hotels.

Hercamore has a great point. Best Western offers great transportation to Disney theme parks. I also enjoy staying at the DTD hotels for the fact that they are on Disney property, making them VERY close to all things Disney, and we enjoy walking to DTD. If you don't plan on using the complimentary transportation, and you need the added room that a suite hotel provides, go with palomino.

I LOVE the Best Western in DTD. You can get a view where you can see Epcot and Magic Kingdom. We did this before and could watch both fireworks shows!

We have booked 2 nights in January at the Best Western LBV. Does anyone have suggestions for *economical* transportation/shuttle to/from the airport? I have always been on Magical Express before so I have no clue!

No suuggestions but I had a really bad stay at Best Western LBV several weeks ago. See my report in the hotel reviews above above. That being said others have stayed there and loved it. Have fun no matter what!
