Best Western hotel advice

Has any one ever stayed at the Best Western Plus Stovall's Inn or Best Western Plus Pavilions on the corner of Katella & Disneyland Dr.? They have great prices for our dates right now. My main concern is the distance to the parks. How long does it take to walk to the parks? Can we walk along Disneyland Dr & enter from the hotel side? Or do we have to enter on the Harbor St entrance?

We stayed at BW Pavillions for our Honeymoon in October 2010. I realize that was several years ago but it was such an awesome stay. Everyone was friendly and we had a great stay. We were there for Blizzcon ( a gaming convention) and several other attendees were staying and everyone was great. At one point our 2 queen bed room was designated our meeting space and we seriously fit 10 or more people inside easily to mingle to give an idea of room size.
We found the beds back then comfortable and housekeeping was always done. We walked once but didn't know the shortcut through GCH at the time.
We used ART as it stopped right out front. We also found Denny's next door and Tiffy's great walkable food options.

Thanks for all that! it does help a lot :) the room looks really nice. We are trying to choose a place that is nice enough to spend some time at, and withing an easy walk to some other nice places to be, like the Grand Californian or the Disneyland Hotel with the restaurants and lounges. We want to have some other dining choices other than what is right on Harbor blvd. Being able to walk to the hotels for a nice breakfast buffet or an evening at Trader Sams is at least as important to us this trip, as proximity to getting in and out of the park easily. At our ages now, getting in as many rides as possible is not a priority anymore! lol.... Having to walk through the esplanade and bag checks to get back and forth to those hotels was a real pain last time! Being able to walk a few minutes to Steakhouse 55 sounds awesome! and from there we can hop the monorail to get into DL. or stopping by Storytellers to eat and going into CA to ride soarin, then back to the hotel without having to do the esplanade....yes this sounds really good. Thanks for helping me make a decision! :)

I'm glad I could be of help. It was nice having the Disney resorts as an option to dine at. We also stopped in at the Hearthstone Lounge in the Grand Californian and had a nice flatbread and enjoyed the drinks and the atmosphere. It also wasn't too full of people so it was relaxing.

We love the Hearthstone! but other than the couple of times we have been able to stay right at the Disneyland Hotel, we have always been on harbor, and when you are trying to walk back that way through downtown disney late, you are going against the flow of people leaving and it is horrible to try and get through! This will be really nice not to be fighting that! I am quite excited about this trip! :)

The most crowded part of walking back to the Stovall's is the short part of Downtown Disney. Just a little FYI...when you are walking back to the Stovall's the sidewalk will make a big curve and you might wonder why it just doesn't continue to go straight and that is because it curves on both sides to make a hidden Mickey. Some local guy told us that on the walk way one night, as he was headed back to his house (I'm jealous he lived that close). So I looked on Google maps and he was right.

:) I had noticed it when I was looking at google satellite view in my obsessive planning. Much as I love hidden Mickeys this is one time I don't because it adds extra steps to the walk!! lol....
