Has anyone stayed here? We have it booked for 2 nights before Disney Cruise in May so we can go to the Magic Kingdom. Any feedback? Just wondering if it is clean, etc.

Thanks,
Lisa

Lisa,

My boyfriend and I stayed there in June of 2000. It was sort of a last minute vacation and it was one of the few hotels we could find with decent rates. At the time they were doing construction in front of the hotel (it was a combination of road work and hotel improvements) so it was pretty cheap. The rooms weren't anything spectacular but they were clean. Our room was slightly worn but acceptable. We had to ask for a room safe and they charged us $2-3 a night for it. There was a ticket broker counter in the lobby where we bought our tickets from without a problem. I think we are actually paying a about the same $$ this next trip with a deal we got through Priceline for the Renaissance Worldgate for $40 a night. It's much closer than BW Eastgate and (hopefully!) a little bit nicer room. Depending on how much of a deal you have BW reserved for, you may want to think of trying out PL when your depature date gets a little closer. You could probably get a nice 3* hotel for what you'll pay at BW.

Joy,

Thanks for the info. We are planning to eat breakfast and go to the park all day till we drop.
Hopefully we won't be spending too much time in the room.

I'm ok with no frills (we got a rate of $37.80/night so I'm not expecting too much) but I sure do like clean rooms!! I'm glad to hear that the rooms are clean.

Do you remember anything about the pool? Is it clean also?

Lisa

Lisa,

While we didn't actually go swimming in the pool (we were always too busy) we did walk past it and it looked clean to me as well. There were lots of younger kids swimming and I didn't notice anything visibly wrong with it. Oh yes, if you can ask for one of the rooms in the front of the complex. Ours was at the back of the hotel and all we had to look at was a field. At the time we didn't mind because we'd rather see that then listen to constuction :) but it would have been nice to have a room closer to the pools.

Hope you enjoy your cruise in May!!
