I know this has been asked but can someone please tell me what is the slowest time for Xmas at the Disneyland resort? I went last year in November between Veterans Day and Thanksgiving. It was slower around Vets and by Thanksgiving I wanted to gouge my eyes out it got so busy. I was actually thanking the stars we were leaving. But I LOVED LOVED LOVED the Xmas parades, fireworks, music, festivities, decorations, cinnamon scented snow etc. It was heaven. I am so excited to be planning for next years vacation there. But I want to avoid Thanksgiving at all cost. How is the week after Thanksgiving or early December? I may have a blackout period for my work in December not allowing me to take time off. But if I could arrange it early I would try.

Also I think the candlelight processional is in early December. So that worries me about crowds. But at the same time I would do anything in my power to see that.

Week after Thanksgiving, 26th to 30th. Week before Thankgiving, 12th to 17th. Then the 1st, then 2nd, then 3rd week of December. In that order with the last being crowded. Other weeks of the season are very crowded or insane.

Don't go on Veterans Day. We made that mistake a few years back. It was the last day of that year that the local AP holders could use thier passes. It was to capacity before noon. CRAZY CROWDED!!! The next day the park was practically empty. :)

Yeah there were a few days last year after Veterans day that we could walk onto rides like Splash first thing in the morning and ride over and over and over again without getting out of the boat cause there were no people in line. LOL! We rode Splash 5 times in a row. Man were we soaked. It didnt pick up a whole lot more in the afternoon either. We had maybe 10 minute wait times. We didnt find Vets day park closing capacity but it was busy.

Maybe I will try for the week after Thanksgiving. Thanks for your replies everyone!

Check the annual pass blockout schedule on the DLR website. Choose days where the So Cal and So Cal Select, and possibly Deluxe are blocked out.
