Best WDW resort for honeymoon?

We did AKL for our honeymoon and for our 5th and 10th.. Poly!!

yacht club is beautiful just some thing about that resort as soon as you enter it it has a feeling that you just dont get from any other. So relaxing and calm is a good way to put it, and then you have the night life at the boardwalk which is great! The pool area and hot tubs are a bonus, its hard to beat this resort in my opinion! As far as a deluxe I liked it better then the poly or okw which is others that we have stayed at!

We loved our honeymoon at WL. While resort choice is very individual, some things that worked out great for us were WL's beautiful location that felt secluded and romantic while still being close to the parks. Being next to Fort Wilderness was great, and we started almost every morning with a quiet walk through the woods together, which was a nice contrast to the busy parks. We just booked a standard room, which saved quite a bit of money compared to other Deluxe resorts, and we got an upgrade to a beautiful inner courtyard view. It was awesome. We stayed at POR for our honeymoon and had a great time! The resort had just been refurbished and we got a brand spanking new room (2011). Of course this won't be the case for every visit, but I guess we got a little pixie dust. I'd say make sure you stay at a resort that offers king size beds for reserving (not just by request) - it makes the room seem way more romantic than having an extra bed there not being used!

Another vote for Boardwalk. Try to rent DVC points. That is what DW and I did. It saves about 50% off your room. I'd get a Boardwalk view. It is awesome and only about $200 more for a week.

Boardwalk has a good nightlife. Jellyrolls is a great time. Also, you are very close to the WS in EPCOT. We ate there three nights and once at the Swan. Can't beat the location and it's a little more adult oriented.

All depends on what your into but GF screams honeymoon to me. Despite that I would choose Poly myself.

Thats funny, GF screams "old people" to me, its stuffy and old, not a fan really.

I would suggest CSR, but then, we honeymooned there last February. It was awesome. Not many kids around, we were in the Cabanas with a corner King water view, it was perfect.

But I could see the Poly or the BW or something else being nice as well

My votes would be AKL CLub level (I love the atmosphere and vibe there), or for the proximity to world showcase and the Boardwalk area resorts, the Boardwalk Inn (we stayed in a room overlooking the garden suite area mentioned earlier). So quiet and pretty, while being so close to entertainment.

For mods, I'd say POR.

Like other ppl have said, it depends on what you're looking for. We splurged for a savannah view room at AKL for our honeymoon 6 years ago (can't believe it's been that long! ), and I wouldn't have traded it for anything!!! It was our first-ever WDW trip (we've done several since), so we didn't know what to expect. We ended up being there during the F&W festival in Oct, and if I were to splurge for a deluxe again during that time, I probably would stay at an Epcot-area resort. AKL was SOOOO very romantic, though. The smells, the lighting, the views....makes me want to go back right NOW No matter where you stay though, it'll be the two of you, and it'll be romantic no matter what
