Best WDW Off-site Hotels

budget?
I am asking because its the Four Seasons Orlando/ Loews Portofino Bay
And On Site Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa / Polynesian
but I am presuming you are looking at something around 150 dollars and not these hotels!

Looking for some recommendations for WDW offsite hotels to stay at. Best areas, etc. Thank you

I assume you are asking for suggestions for hotels not on Disney property but close to Disney ...

What is your nightly budget?
How many in your party?
Will you have a car?
Are amenities like pools etc important to you?
What is your approx travel timeframe?

All this info will help folks direct you to their favorite picks.

yes Its really hard to help sans this when people ask for information. That has so little information that we cannot remotely predict what they want, Why off site? What do you want to be near............ blah.

It is not annoying to me.

Disney is a complex, expensive and overwhelming trip to plan for some who have been let alone some who are embarking on a new type of vacation. Often they have no idea where to even start.

A good start is to come here, where the regulars can ask the questions to help them box in their needs and budgets. I would rather try to help someone out than make them feel bad.

I guess its just harder to help. Annoying might be a bit harsh (edited last comment) but just much harder. I was not trying to make anyone feel bad. Its just I see this a lot. And I suggest by having needs and wants well make us happier and them more satisfied.

So go on this orlando accommodation disney world and up the top you can change to suit you. And show the search you used. Then we can help your more. If you do not have a car you really need to stay on site. Art of Animation is the best value. If you do have a car and looking for value. Try condos.

Sorry, for not providing enough information. 2 adults, would like to not have to drive(no car if possible), are there any places that offer a shuttle? Not sure of the area, probably close to Disney properties? Budget, I guess $100-$150? Just looking for some other options that are off site.

I’m going to forget about off-site hotels.

If you stay off site, you could use Lyft or Uber instead of a rental but you may not save too much that way. The off-sites either don't provide shuttles or offer infrequent shuttles.

With no car you severely limit your options. I would stay in a Disney value or Disney Springs hotel with that budget.

Note you will have to pay for transportation from the airport from a non-Disney hotel that may eat up some of your offsite savings. Disney offers airport transport for free.

Also, when shopping note that many Disney Springs hotels have various resort fees that can drive up the cost.

If you are planning to spend your time at Disney then I think you have made a good decision to forget about off-site hotels. Not wanting to drive sounds like you are coming to the area to just visit Disney. I am an off-site person but I come to Orlando for vacation not to "Disney" for vacation. Sometimes we go to Disney while we are in Orlando, and sometimes we don't. So if you are not familiar with all there is to do here and only want Disney, then on-site with Disney transportation sounds like it fits what you are looking for. So look around the Disboards, you will find plenty of information to expand your knowledge. I think planning is also part of the excitement of vacation. Have fun and enjoy!!

We stayed at TownPlace Suites in Orlando at Flamingo Crossings. It is in the ESPN WWOS area. Also, near Art of Animation and Coronado Springs. It was a very new, nice, clean hotel with lots of room. It had a full refrigerator, stove, microwave, and dishwasher. Big closets, free breakfast, nice pool, free parking. I didn't use the shuttle, but they did have one to Disney. Have fun planning and good luck!

Pricing depends heavily on the time of year/WDW goings-on when you plan to visit. Check out the WDW site for hotel offers

You might want to investigate renting points for DVC, preferably thru reliable rental sources or via listings here on that board but availability goes very fast.
