I'm not a huge buffet fan but I've eaten at a few over my last couple of trips to WDW. I want to avoid them this year but I've been thinking about Boma, CP, etc. and was wondering everyone's thoughts on which buffet is the best?

Boma breakfast and Beirgarten dinner, runners up are Crystal Palace breakfast and Cape May dinner

We've never done Boma for breakfast but are trying it this year. Until then, Crystal Palace for breakfast is our all time favorite. Love the puffed french toast and the potato casserole--and, of course, Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and Eeyore.

Boma for dinner and Tusker House for breakfast.

Runnerup would be Crystal Palace.

We made a special trip to AKL for Boma dinner. Love to arrive early, go outside and see the animals, have a drink at the Victoria Fall bar, sit by the fire pit and then have a yummy dinner. That would be my one pick.

But character breakfasts in the park are fun, too...

Boma (dinner) is a must do for us every wdw trip. So much variety and flavors (had to get the recipe for FuFu last time we were there :goodvibes).

We love it so much, next trip we're going twice, once for dinner, and trying out breakfast since we heard it was good also.

What is the puffed french toast and potato casserole? Do you have any pictures? PS I go to DePaul and know some people from Carol Stream!

We're staying here and I can't wait to explore the resort!!

What the heck is FuFu????

My favorite is definitely Crystal Palace for breakfast. Boma for breakfast, CP for dinner, and Trail's End (at Fort Wilderness) for dinner are also quite good in my experience.

I agree...Boma is the best buffet for dinner. DW and i liked crystal palace for lunch and breakfast.

We had an "eh" experience at Chef Mickey's breakfast (found it sloppy and thrown together).

We have also had breafast at 1900 PF, which was standard breakfast.

Another is Cape May. Breakfast was honestly, a little gross...cold waffles, picked over eggs etc. and for dinner, we are from CT and have wonderful seafood in our area so never felt inclined to try it for that meal. Have heard mixed reviews.

Have had consistently wonderful experiences at Boma dinner. Even had conversations with the chef who shared recipes for dishes DW really liked. We saw the chef introducing the buffet to a guest, who sounded like he had a peanut allergy. She was pointing out what dishes were safe to eat.

We did eat dinner at the Biergarten last year. DW is of german origin so was excited to go. The buffet was a little hm..thrown together? Sauerbraten was awesome as were the potato dumplings. Will pass next visit though. BUT! Great big beers are a plus :).

Boma is a must eat for us on every vacation. We have gone to Crystal Palace a few times and liked it.
Tried Ohana's during our wedding trip and were disappointed. The service wasn't very good and the food was rushed.
We had breakfast at Chef Mickey's and it was ok, but we were there for the characters.

Agree on the chef mickeys!

Thanks for the ohana tip, heard you concerns from others as well.

I loooooooooooove Ohana! Dinner is my favorite, and I never really thought of it as a buffet before.

We did Boma for dinner and loved it (esp. since we're vegetarians and there were SOOO many veggie choices--but lots of meat for the meat-eaters, too). Did Tusker House for breakfast and really enjoyed the food (as well as the characters!)--lots of variety for breakfast.

We had a good experience at Tusker House last April. We go to Chef Mickeys breakfast everytrip and find it decent to good. We've never done lunch or dinner buffets.

Best breakfast buffet=Crystal Palace at MK

Best dinner buffet=Boma at AKL
