Hi Guys,

My DD and I are going to Universal and Disney in October and wanted to get your thoughts on the best way to buy ticket for all parks.
We are driving down and staying off site cause I got an excellent deal on a 2 bedroom villa (full kitchen, washer/dryer in room!) at the Sheraton. We plan to spend the first week of October, Monday at Universal and the Disney Tuesday through Friday.
I have seen some talk about getting "Disney Mail" in their mailbox and I am not sure If that is for tickets only or they got a whole package (air, hotel, tickets and dining).
if I buy the tickets online, do I need to do it early enough to get real tickets in the mail? getting Magic bands early is really a non issue for us since we are not staying on site and won't be using them to charge anything to the room. Is a printed out ticket enough until we actually arrive to the park? And is it any more convenient getting them online? I hear that we will need a "card" if we don't have a magic band so will I still have to stand in line to get the card when I get there even if I do purchase online?
What would be the quickest and most convenient way? Thank you guys in advance, I am a planner and need to get this plan in my head. My DD is not and my plannyness wears on her nerves!! HA

If you order your tickets from Disney, you have 2 choices:
1. Have the ticket mailed to your home.
2. Select the "will call" option. You will get a confirmation number for each ticket and can use this to book your FPs. When you arrive at your first park you can pick up your actual tickets at the Guest Relations window outside the park gates

You need the actual ticket for park entry and to enter the FP lines.

Another choice is to buy from an authorized seller like Undercover Tourist. You can save a few dollars on most tickets. They mail the actual ticket to you. We've used them several times

Thank you for the info, so do you think 1 month ahead of time is enough time to allow for delivery?

If you've only got a month, then you're already entering the FP booking window. Take the will call option so you can book your FPs asap.

Undercover Tourist. You can get both your Universal and Disney tickets there at a discount. If you subscribe to Mousesavers website there is a special link in their newsletter that will give you a better discount. I would get my tickets as soon as possible in case there were any problems with delivery. Cheers!!!!

I would order the Disney tickets from Undercover Tourist. My experiences have been great with them. I would order a couple of weeks before your FP window opens.

You probably have to buy tickets directly from Universal. Most of the authorized resellers don't handle one day tickets.
