Best way to travel with pets?

I have two labs that I want to bring (they are part of the family!) so I was wondering what exactly can I do with them/where can I stay? They are very calm and quiet dogs and are about 35 in doggy years. Any good recommendations for the full family? =)

I believe the Loews hotels at Universal are pet-friendly.

I honestly think they would be much more comfortable at home (with a friend, neighbor, dog sitter or nice boarding facility) unless you only plan on being gone for 4-6 hours at a time at the parks.
