Best way to transfer ADRs? (cancelling lots)

My inlaws and their friends have cancelled their trip. I was offering up their ADRs to the Dissers. But what is the best way to transfer them?

-Just give the other Diser the last name and confirmation #??

-Call Disney Dining and give them the other Dissers last name to put on the confirmation number?

Other ways?

Also, by cancelling their trip, did their ADRs get cancelled automatically?

My inlaws and their friends have cancelled their trips.
I told her I would take care of cancelling their ADRs (after picking a few I wanted, and changing things around a bit!!) And there are a few of mine I am cancelling too.
So here is what I can transfer, or will be cancelling (probably by sunday):

Aug 28........Concourse.................6:00pm..........for 4

I would love to get a BOMA on Aug 26, 27, 29, 31, or Sept 1 for four!!

Our ADR's were not automatically cancelled when we cancelled our trip. I've transferred several dining ressies to other Diser's. In most cases I posted what I had and they sent me a PM. I gave them my name and ressie # and in all but one case they were able to transfer to their name and resort. One CM said that I needed to call and change it myself. So they gave me their info. and I made the change. Worked great for giving hard to get places such as LeCellier and Coral Reef. I'm happy to be able to give them to fellow Diser's rather than just cancel.

I called Disney and asked them if I could just keep my mother in laws ADRs for myself. She said yes, as long as I had the confirmation number and last name.
I asked if her ADRs get cancelled along with her vacation package, and she said no.
So I still have some ADRs up for grabs if anyone wants them.
I will cancel by tomorrow if I don't hear from anyone.
